If we get Cameron - the board will be upset
If we don't get Cameron - the board will be upset
If we get Eade - the board will be upset
If we don't get Eade - the board will be upset
If we get Kinkley - the board will be upset
If we don't get Hinkley - no one will be upset
If we get Ratten - the board will be upset
If we don't get Ratten - every board is happy
If we get Tudor - the board will be confused and asking, who?
If we don't get Tudor - a couple of posters will be upset

I sould also add that the board could be : the PA BF board, the PAFC board, the GWS BF board, the GWS board, a clipboard, a notice board, plasterboard, mortar board, being bored, being really bored or being bored by someone else.

As I said last week, with these new anti poaching rules for new coaches, the AFL surely has to push back free agency and the start of trade week by at least one week so clubs can do due diligence and appoint a coach who then has time to make critical list management decisions, e.g Pearce and Chaplin in this case. This should not be the responsibility of Rohde.

I have been out all day and I return to this fricking mess!! I don't know what to make of it. We need to trust KT and hopefully we will come up trumps. But honestly if Cameron has been offered the GWS job in a year's time (for example), he would be a fool not to take it. Their list in a few years time is going to be far better than what we can provide. We need a complete overhaul of our list.

So much talk about coaches and who can and can't coach, maybe the AFL need to bring in a new rule (seeing as they like changing the rules all the time) One called player loyalty rule, the days are gone when your kids had there favourite players number on there back, at Port one day and somewhere else the next, it must be hard for coaches to get that winning formula. Is Scott that good at Geelong or did he have a good team, a coach needs the right cattle and the loyalty from them to make a club consistantly good.

Don't worry about it. Just find someone who can do the job. If Cameron is unsure about where he wants to be he is not the right person for the job.

I feel that the negatives outweigh any positives. It starts from the top. Securing the services of a few high profile players is great, but means nothing when we struggle to secure a top level sponsor, and can't attract a coach.

As people have said - there are many possibilities. Cameron may not be our first choice. He may be, but he may just be talking to GWS as he either hasn't been guaranteed the job, or he's being 'polite'. But regardless, it doesn't look good, considering the speculation.

When the good times roll again, they'll love ya for it. It wont happen overnight, but it will happen. By the time my grandson to be is old enough to know, he would have sat through some glorious finals at Port Adelaide oval, right next to his Pop !!

I have said for a while - if the media don't know the whole truth, then the internal sources also don't. They might hear snippets, but the danger is the inferences that they draw from them. That is what causes the problems.
