In this case, Footscray and its outer Western suburbs sit between Geelong and Essendon.

After having to sit near dogs supporters during both geelong games last year, I have no sympathy for the dogs, I hope they never win another flag and are the team to have to relocate. Never thought I'd meet fans worse than collingwood but indeed those dogs fans were.

I suppose if it can't be Geelong then let Melbourne have it.

Of all the teams that could win it it would be Adelaide - which is strange because I used to hate them but they've been a bit of a hard luck story recently.

I dont have soft spots for St Kilda and Bulldogs.

If it were ever possible would like to see Melbourne or our one-way rivals Freo, do it. Both clubs are just so crap it would be amazing to see it happen.

I was happy enough to see Geelong win in 2007. That's enough, move along, next team win please More than one is greedy if it's not your team.

Be happy enough to see the Doggies win, because face it, they haven't in 50+ years. (But if they win this season, they can fail after that for a while thanks)

The Dogs actually played Geelong 3 times in 09, twice in H&A and Qual Final. Pity you only attended 2 and missed out on our wonderful company a third time!!

This really is a hard question to answer but FWIW when a team wins after a long drought (say 20 years+) it is generally hard to begrudge them given how difficult it is to win flags. I guess this includes about 6 or so clubs in 2010.

Those I wouldn't like to win:
North, Carlton, Hawks (a bit late), Melbourne, WC, Ess (I'd like to see Matty Knights win one at Essendon, but after we win one), and Freo.

Just because we've all had a similar rebuilding phases recently and it will just make me more upset at our failings, bit selfish but what you gonna do.

bulldogs - deserving of a flag. had they beaten us in 97/8 prelims i'd hate their guts.

anyone else would be ok except st kilda. watching them lose and the looks on the faces of their long suffering supporters really makes me happy. have hated them ever since cornflakes took over and he and lenny accepted the pre-season cup trophy in such a contrived manner. w***ers.

If not Freo, I guess Richmond. I have a good mate who's been a Richmond supporter since the early 1980's and stuck with them even though the new WA teams joined the comp. I'd like to see him rewarded with a Richmond flag - but then again some of the Tigers supporters here would be insufferable if that happened.
