I don't think anyone is righting him off. However a club on its knees in deep rebuild mode shouldn't be wasting pick 6 on a key defender.
This is about more than now though. In five years time you will realise you were wrong. The mids we pick up this year and next will come on faster. If we went for a mid we would look at our KPP stocks in 3 years time and realise what we have isn't enough to win a flag.

We need to get an experienced coach into this group immediately.

Before the season is done. By next week ideally
Nope, need to keep heading in the "right" direction of we want things to change.

Once crowds are under 30k, once we're bottom 2 years in a row, that's when we might actually get somewhere.

Give Nicks 2021 and 2022. He'll be gone by the end of 2022 if we're still bottom 4

At this point I'd sooner play Poholke and Gallucci than players who certainly aren't ready for senior football like Gollant, O'Connor, and Worrell

I'd probably opt for Poholke/Gallucci before them, though I'd have O'Connor in the side next week just to put a tall midfielder/forward rotation in the side.

You rebuild a list with elite midfielders and quality tall forwards. Do tell? I do not see a quality midfielder or tall forward on our list.

Who do you think fits this?
I see McAsey who I think could be, and I see Fogarty. I see Jones who looks good when he actually plays there. I see Schoenberg who needs to play, and I see Milera who should be a midfielder.

This is the start of a rebuild, not halfway through.

The fact we have loaded up for this years draft meant we could have had the extra 1st rounder (GWS) and 2nd rounder (Bulldogs) penciled in for this year already on our list.

It makes our talent stockpile look even lighter on. We need to nail this coming draft. Id also be looking to throw money at Hately, Caldwell or any 2nd - 3rd year mid.

Everytime he goes into the middle he looks at home, he just barely plays there.

Not only that, but he does have the occasional moment where you can be like - ok there is a very good footballer there. Last week against port with the excellent defence to get a stoppage in the centre, this week with the core strength to shrug off a tackle and keep the ball moving.

I do think there is a level of him not being comfortable yet at an AFL level, especially considering he is in a side that's getting belted, but he does have tools.

I also like that nearly every kid we've drafted in the past 2-3 years actually shepherds/does team-oriented things.

If he stays in the seconds we have no choice but to delist.
I have no problem with that. No problem whatsoever.
At least we could try and con a team into giving him a shot ala John Meesen ten years ago.
Like I said... he holds his value better if nobody gets to see how bad he is.
