The stat that was quoted in the preview thread that we are 36-0 in day/twilight games at AO against the bottom ten who aren't the crows is quite telling, but today is not the day to go against it with the logjam around 5-10 now.

A % boost would be useful given the scores in other games so far this weekend, but let's win first.

Coming off a courageous performance interstate, Yaartapuulti to be
+70 disposals
+12 inside 50s
+20 tackles
+24 clearances
Negative free kicks

Boak 40 possessions and 3 votes
Wines 35, Butters 30
Amon 35

Oh, the result, Yaartapuulti to lose by 10+ goals, with TWO goalless quarters.

Hang on, that was 2022.

Would be good if we do what Bris did to Rich last night.
But having said that, a Port home game against a lower opposition usually means a bore fest win by a few goals and a bit.

Should be fresh as after only playing half a game of football last week.

Hinkley and friends will be expecting a speed hump, it's going to take more than that.

Not really sure what victory means today - I feel a bit meh, whatever the result.
This club is just a constant tease.

Every time it looks like we might actually be able to compete we embarrass ourselves as pretenders in the big games.

Every time it looks like we might finally lose enough to deliver change and get some fresh ideas in we have a big win like the Cats game last week or the 13 in a row.

We just alternate up and down in the middling range of 3rd -12th mediocrity, where nothing ever means anything.

I want our young players to star today to show some hope for the future but I dont give a **** about the result because its all irrelevant til 2026.

My prediction against bottom 8 team at home. Countless inside 50s in the first qtr for a result of 1 goal 7 behinds. Hawthorn to get 2 to 3 goals out the back. Probably slightly behind at qtr time. By the end of the game we will win by about 2 goals as Hawthorn (and us) get killed by 1000 Hinkley cuts
