Been watching the Black Friday sales and patiently waiting…
Myer so far seems to be the only one with sets I want and a good discount, plus I can get a $60 Myer voucher towards it as I’ve got a voucher for there or Rebel I haven’t chosen which one to use it for yet!
The Big W preview so far shows nothing of interest, I’m glad the Falcon sales appearing in a couple of places are still more than I paid. Nothing worse than getting a good deal then seeing it even better later!!!

On a more serious note, what is the best way to get all the GWPs (ie Shackleton's Lifeboat, Winter Holiday Train, Retro Record Player) in one purchase that meets the minimum price? Do the last two GWPs last until the next weekend when Endurance becomes available?
I've given up trying to figure out why we managed to follow the worst trade ever with the totally unnecessary gifting of a pick that would have been quite useful to us. Have no idea what's descended onto Alberton this off-season. . Usually, yes, the Insiders GWPs are also available on the following weekend IF stocks remain. If you don't want to take chances then I would get them this weekend. I'm guessing that the reason for the $400 threshold on the record player is that Endurance doesn't qualify by itself, so you'd need to add another set to your order on BF.There's also a chance of Christmas-themed GWPs showing up - there are often a couple of these, one of which arrives in time for BF. Last year's were meh, but there have been some pretty decent ones in the past.
TLDR - Buy $400 worth this weekend and then another $400 on Endurance on BF. Eeek...

I use the cabinets from Ikea, can fit alot on them, and they are good for larger sets, I need to tidy up and redisplay everything but that can wait till after Christmas

The timer for the Lego F1 drops ended at 6pm tonight. I don't have an email with any insider news, I can't find anything on the page, all I can see is the clock showing zeros.

I must say a city block containing Jurassic Park, Disney Castle, Ghostbusters Firehouse and Old Trafford is epic
I haven't been following it but it does seem strange. Is there an F1 event this weekend perhaps where something is to be launched?
I thought the timing was strange given they have Insiders Weekend coming up then Black Friday, which are traditionally peak times for Lego online.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix is on this weekend, with today the "promotional" day ahead of practice tomorrow.
So I guess the timing and the location are both right... never even occurred to me that it might be announced that way after seeing the countdown clock on the website.
This has thrown my LEGO Black Friday plans into disarray, been waiting a while for this one, got 1990 but haven’t been able to find 2010.

Well shit, I've been waiting weeks for Lego's F1 announcements, and after a delay on the announcement yesterday, they reveal today that they aren't being released til next year anyway!
Maybe it's for the best, it gives me some time to clear the backlog before this beast is available.

That Ferrari looks stunning, but the price?? The new licence fee must have been really jacked up. I have both of the current large-scale F1 cars and I think I paid less than $200 each for them. The Mansell set looks great, too, but as you say that's a massive premium (30%) over the Senna set.
The Speed Champions look the goods, but the trouble is at that scale it's pretty much only the livery that sets them apart.
My Nightmare Before Christmas order got deleted because the PayPal pay in 4 option expired.

And again, 40 bucks for Speed Champs is pretty outrageous.
I think I'll be waiting on sales for all of these, they aren't going to be hard to find. I think the last big F1 release coincided with someone (Amazon? Target?) having a lego sale on at the time, so they were discounted on day 1.
There were a whole other bunch of announcements too, which I believe are being released on the "Lego City" branding - a pit stop, a garage, a truck, some of these include various cars of different sizes and some minifigs.
They've gone balls deep in this partnership.

The Mansell car is definitely one to wait for a sale and to see it built in person first.

I know they can't do cigarette advertising, but the lack of Camel logo on the car bums me out, cos there isn't really any attempt to turn it into something else and have it represented. At least with the McLaren you had some similar letters, similar length word and a similar font, so I didn't think we lost much with Marlboro.
There are aftermarket sticker sets available for the Senna that reproduce the original livery more accurately, and I'd assume there'll be the same for this one. That price hike is outrageous though.
