We look very unconvincing still. We will be fairly lucky to get out of Week 1 of finals if we get there.

I dont see this at all people underestimate that win on the weekend, we lose that game 9 out of 10 times mid season.

Sure we might come up short this week but it wont be because we are very unconvincing its because Adelaide at home play like a top 4 side.

five wins on the trot, every one of them basically sudden death, every one of them we overcame periods of opposition momentum (if not dominance)
we haven't looked great but we've had things unsettle the team almost weekly
if we can really find our best form let's see other teams worry about that

The last 2 wins in particular have been strong and professional against decent opposition

If we get our clearance work even halfway right, we can compete with anyone.

There's always a fatigue concern when you're essentially playing must-win footy for 2½ months but our best can win a flag.

The lid is OFF!!!

Collingwood - exposed as crap
Port - diabolical (sack Hinkley!)
Lions - poo away from home
Melbourne - imploding
St Kilda - lol
Bravedogs - corrupt umps only hope
GWS - brushed aside
Geelong - the cliff has arrived
Carlton - it’s Carlton

The only form team: SYDNEY!

I repeat: THE LID IS OFF

(for a week)
The lid has exploded off & is now in orbit!

I'll stand by my posts, but admit we did what I didn't think we could do. Where we were and how we were looking, there was no improvement happening

we all make wrong calls ... i thought we were in strife after the richmond loss, more because of how we lost
but it's the viciousness, the personal stuff, the mindless outrage ...
this great club has a reputation for fighting on ...

I'm like you. The Richmond loss exemplified everything wrong with this year, giving up in the 4th, but we righted things mostly since then

i never think we give up, never thought that about the swans ... we got swamped and didn't know how to respond or stop the slow ... i think that was more to do with still being mentally fragile from the first half of the season
we've certainly righted that for now

The lid only has the smallest sliver of light shining through.

Although I'm stoked we managed to make finals, I'm not at all confident. I look ahead to our potential opponents and I'm optimistic, but not overly confident - even against Carlton in round 1. We'll have to be at our best.

We haven't beaten a top 4 side this year, we failed to beat a number of sides when finals were there for the taking. 2 of our wins came from pure luck.

With that said, we're a chance against Carlton. If we win, we're probably likely to play Collingwood, and I'd give us a chance against them.

If Sydney had a month in the season of the following you could see them winning 4 games ? maybe 🤔 umm sure

Carlton MCG
Collingwood MCG
Brisbane Gabba
Melbourne MCG
We’ll win all 4 after leading by 6 goals at three quarter time in each and allowing the opposition to lose by less than a goal in each.

Resulting in trade bans and the burning down of the Swans academy.
