does any one have good history on the KNT it says on the wiki the mergered team was called the power then moved leagues and became the saints before that one was the pies and the other the bombers just want an idea on colours and names that's all
I was the one who edited the Wiki haha, this might help.does any one have good history on the KNT it says on the wiki the mergered team was called the power then moved leagues and became the saints before that one was the pies and the other the bombers just want an idea on colours and names that's all
Kaniva Bulldogs and Leeor Jets. I guess Leeor may have been the Bombers before the KNTFL merger but I'm not sure.

interesting wonder where the green come from would love to some images of the old kit may change it up a bitIn 1995 (KNTFL) Leeor were the Jets, they were Royal blue, red and gold ( Fitzroy like ).
Black and Red in the Tatiara FL.

Quick history lesson: When Kaniva & Districts (The Bulldogs, who wore the Footscray jumpers) merged with Leeor (The Bombers originally, who wore Essendon jumpers, before changing to the Jets and a Fitzroy style jumper when the KNTFL was formed) they become the Boomers and wore North Melbourne jumpers. When they merged the VCFL offered subsided jumpers if you picked one that matched an AFL team. The Dockers and Nth Melb were the only two jumpers that were available that wouldn't clash with any of the other KNTFL teams, so in a close vote, the North jumper was picked and the name Boomers with it.interesting wonder where the green come from would love to some images of the old kit may change it up a bit
thanks for that useful piece of infomationQuick history lesson: When Kaniva & Districts (The Bulldogs, who wore the Footscray jumpers) merged with Leeor (The Bombers originally, who wore Essendon jumpers, before changing to the Jets and a Fitzroy style jumper when the KNTFL was formed) they become the Boomers and wore North Melbourne jumpers. That was all good for a bit, but with Apsley wearing Collingwood jumpers, Bordertown wearing Red and White stripes, Penola whinging that they had those colours, and Lucindale believing they had the rights to the Kangaroo logo (and even threatened legal action), a change was made. The Cougars name was adopted and the green was added for a point of difference.
The swans guernseys in the bulldog diamond were elite. Loved them. Was shattered when they switched. It was so unique.View attachment 1780838View attachment 1780839View attachment 1780841View attachment 1780843
two eras come together with the previous design of their old jersey from when they were known as the swans with the modern giants name and branding with a dark orange and white kit and a reused Glencoe logo
most merged teams go by giants now and use that kit, disappointing they killed their identity, Jezza played in that kit was nice to change the identity for him but the club won cups as the swans its a good way to show both erasThe swans guernseys in the bulldog diamond were elite.
