This whole Saint-Kilda vibe reminded me of something from Brazilian Round-Ball Footy — this rivalry:

The team in white is SANTOS ("Saints"). The team in red-white-black is SÃO PAULO ("Saint Paul").

Their derby is the SAN-SÃO. "Sansão" is the Portuguese name for Samson.

Saint Kilda seems to be a club founded by two brazilians who barracked one for each of those clubs. One got the colors, and the other got the nickname.
 
I'm not a regular visitor to Malbun but I assume St Kilda is these days the land of cafe's, hipsters and high cost living.
But back then it was the refuge of junkies, punks and prostitutes.

It's a bit of a mix these days. You can probably get an espresso served in a syringe.
