Fact checking now comes long after half-baked hearsay gets published as facts (or alternate facts  wow I don't even).
Statements can always be denied and accusations of lying can be challenged. But nothing beats grabbing headlines. It is how Trump got elected.

OMG you gotta love this.

Let's hope Trump keeps going in this rate, how long before Republicans get enough of him
There are certainly elements of truth in that article and it really is scary.
Trump is so unlike a statesman, doesn't give one any confidence he is in control.
Even his press secretary tried to tie in the shooting in Canada to his Executive Order on refugees. So distasteful, lets hope that nothing major happens in the US until he gets off his training wheels. If he ever does that is.
Less showman and twitter and more stateman like.

Trump was elected by the rust belt after Hillary told them they were voting for her. The DNC are as stupid as the media. Rational, accurate and consistent responses were required. Instead Hillary aped Trump with no substance and hysteria, he beat her with experience.

"The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders... all you have to do is tell them they are being attacked" - Hermann Goering

Funnily enough a huge swathe of Nazi propaganda and nationalist verve was inspired by the US if not plagiarized.

Honestly the US were rooted either way but they knew what they were going to get with Hillary so... YOLO?

DNC made a huge mistake with Clinton, should have stuck with Bernie.

Politics and politicians are at a real low.

It is YOVO. You Only Vote Once.
There is a beautiful scene in Der Untergang in which Goebbels explains that the German people gave them the mandate and they only have themselves to blame.
If the US voters think the proven trail of bankruptcies, Miss Elections and hidden tax returns is a reason to support a brazen, divisive, negative, self centered, presidential candidate, then they deserve everything that is coming to them. And that is even not taken into account the reputation of of the cronies that he brings with them.
Let's just hope the trainwreck called Trump doesn't create too much collateral damage.

Trump is the front man for Steve Bannon who is the front man for the Koch Brothers
The US is owned and operated by Corporations

But is it less run by corporations if Hillary was president?

I have my doubts that even if Bernie was president that any real change in that regard would take place - or if it started looking likely he wouldn't have a mystery illness and die.

It's very amusing all the conspiracy theories and conflict of interest stories around the ban on Muslim immigration. Which it is nothing of the sort even if Trump wants it to be yet STILL gets reported as such.

The Obama administration put the list of seven countries together so any failing of the list is a failing of Homeland Security. The most delicious thing about it is the lists that people come up with for Trump having business interests in the countries 'missing' form the list. It has nothing to do with something so small fry as Trump's business dealings. It's the trillions of dollars of business that Trump could only dream of participating in that leaves people like the brutal Saudis off the list and convenient buffers like Pakistan.

While Trump Palooza entertains one and all boring old geopolitical reality will roll on.

Of course not, the Corporate Democrats are supported by the same Corporations that support the GOP, the only difference is the marginal social issues Clinton would have addressed

I think Sanders would certainly have been different but the DNC cheated him out of what was rightfully his shot.
FWIW I think he would have defeated Trump

Putting together a list of proscribed organisations and not acting on it, is completely different to acting on it and then deciding which faith will have precedence.
The two things are nothing alike

The most delicious thing will be the tears when it all goes pearshaped. Turning back the clock on climate change, women's rights & Wall Street regulations to name a few, will never end well. Unfortunately most won't know that from the alternative facts that are being fed.

Obama added to to the original list?

The biggest angst is why Trump if serious (do you really believe that Trump consults Homeland?) did not do the same for countries like Pakistan, Saudi Arabia just to name two. Saudi in particularly has lots of $$$ do you honestly believe that Trump didn't take that into account either for himself or his backers?

The ONLY positive thing to come out of Trump's presidency so far.

"The new kid smells like falafel and wants to shave my moustache" :grinning:

The Trump won the Melbourne Cup in 1937.

Also won the Cups double that year. Star horse.
Much better version of the name Trump

Not that funny, pity, good idea though.
Terrible accents but good idea

Nothing beat the Dutch "Grab them by the pony" . It is huge. Best and most viewed troll since the inauguration. Period.

And what were you doing in the year 1937, Saintly?

:D

Never mind me, what was my sire doing, that is the real question?

Great country, did you read that the yhave started a fund to fill the funding gap left by Trump in relation to women's health care? Canada plus 20 other countries but Netherland started it. Nothing from Australia though:(.

Do not lie to yourself and believe that the 7 temporarily restricted countries had anything to do with Trump. Trump couldn't change the 7 countries that homeland had already listed. Even if he wanted to ban all Muslims not even an executive order could do that without the bill it referenced being returned to congress.

Please tell me the last time a US administration even mentioned something about any of the horrendous shit that goes on in Saudi Arabia? You'll find that every country that Trump has business dealings in has other US interests many orders of magnitude bigger than even Trump would claim let alone actually have. Trust me, they're yuuuuge. The 7 that are listed are complete shitholes with no business to be done. At least not the civilian business Trump is generally involved in.

Obama approved support for the Saudi's war in Yemen - sound like a country they'll ban?

This is the same sort of uninformed disconnect people have when they think Canada is some magic land with no problems. They are one of the biggest weapons manufacturers in the world and a supplier of...... Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Pakistan. Pretty much anyone that's buying even if their own govt lists them as human rights abusers. It's all about the Canadian bottom line and maintaining manufacturing jobs in Canada. I find Trudeau's little speeches saying all of Canada stands with their Muslim minority and blah blah borderline offensive and certainly insulting of any literate person's intelligence. It's the same PR spin as Trump saying he's worth 10 billion.

There are a growing number of French-Canadians that have grave concerns for their culture and Islam's impact on it and that's been going on for years.

Pfft doesn't matter. Everyone can blame everything bad on Trump for a while and comfort themselves with the lie that all their problems cannot last more than 8 years at maximum.

Sorry, but I think that you are the one with blinkers on. Your first sentence is wrong for starters. Trump could have added! If you have read reports, not only didn't Trump consult HS , he didn't even let them know what was in the document he was signing.

I do agree neither the US nor Australia ever mention the influence that SA has in the ME and breaches of Human Rights because they classify SA as a 'friend', that is appalling.

I am not entering into a debate about Muslims as I can see where you stand.
