I don't know if it's that head scratching, they've had three very slow starts to seasons with very expensively assembled squads. It may be less about the immediate results and more a discussion within the club about it being time for a fresh voice.
Well two years ago they had the ground problems at the start of the season and had about 3-4 postponements. They were playoff contenders late last season until they lost a few in a row after cup semi loss to Man U. Lost playoffs on pens year before that. Yes lost to Derby on the weekend but won two before that. Some poor off season signings but thought deserved more time.

Coven try sacked Mark Robins. Another head scratching coaching decision in this league. In three years had them promoted from L2 to the Champ, 5th two seasons ago and a FA cup semi last season!! Plus the club forced him to sack his long time no. 2 at start of the season. Unbelievable
This is a panic decision, and one which IMO the club will end up regretting.A lot of Cov fans are angry about the sacking and the man who made it, Doug King.

Similar to us sacking Rosenior last season, in the fullness of time these decisions look terrible.

6 years in charge, 2 wins in their past 3, 17th on the table, almost as bizarre as 6th placed Birmingham firing John Eustace so Wayne Rooney could relegate them.

Maybe he’s not very good. Had a lot of financial support at Porto without much success, lasted two months at Real. Not bad at Sevilla winning Europa but always over sensitive to criticism and too easy to throw others under the bus.
Would probably agree with this take. I was hoping the Ipswich win was a turning point but we've gone backwards last 3 games.

He can't settle on a formation and the team doesn't look like they're playing for him really.

He lasts the least amount of time in a job when he’s hired on the 1st of the month. As WHU signed him on July 1st, expect him to get the sack in the coming weeks.

I’m curious to know everyone’s thoughts on Amorim at Man U

Does everyone think he’ll succeed or will he continue in the vein of the other post Ferguson managers?

I think this one may be a better appointment in terms of being a younger manager with a defined style of play, not an over the hill manager being drafted in to save them. ETH was a bit different but there were a lot of circumstances set against him.

I think he'll find it tougher at United. They've spent a fortune but don't really have the cattle Amorim needs.

Like always, depends on how patient they'll be.

Wouldn't shock me if he's Rangers next manager

Would be a terrible move for him. They are on UEFA's FSR watchlist and are in the process of pushing out senior players to slash their wage budget so they don't get kicked out of European competition. Plus they have no money for transfers as they lost nearly 20 million last year. Celtic have them pocketed but Rangers fans still expect to win the league. No win job, at least for as long as Rodgers is there. Only way they bridge the gap is if Celtic screw up. Wrong manager, bad transfers etc.

Strange, you’d have thought all the hateful graffiti would stand them in good stead
