Handy tonight, good solid lead up target, needs to finish off better but you can see hes getting back to some form, usually finishes off the shots that he had, hopefully will next week

Good to see him run out a game too, we have been lacking targets in the last quarter over the last 2 rounds, so nice to see the big Kebab building along, vital to any any rise up the ladder this year

The forward line functioned well for each individual today. Tabs did his role on Barass, who’s a beast.
Amiss got Hurn. Walters nibbled on whatever crap defender West Coast. Jackson was dangerous

Tabs did his role. He was running hard and feel like just outside 50, rather than looking for a pass, could’ve just taken a few more steps and kicked a few. He was open a few times. Building his form now

Do the people standing up for him all these years feel comfortable being on the wrong side of history?

At least we are getting to the crux of what this is really about.

A bunch of people still really really salty that Taberner turned out to be a good player after they were adamant he should have been delisted 10 years ago.

I can understand that it is probably very hurtful to be to look like a total dunce but it's time to get over it. Taberner became a good AFL player, from 2020 to now he's averaged 2 goals a game which is elite.

When did Taberner become a good player? I must have blinked. Can he do it again?

Pretty ineffectual today, watched him attempt to slap back the ball towards 2 Eagles barreling down on him rather than allowing it dribble OOB.

Would have gotten just as much output, if not more from Treacy.

And Sturt and Corbett. Tabs offers no physical presence for his size.

Six score involvements on the weekend which is better than Amiss and Jackson.

Equal most contested marks for the team this season.

He’s nowhere near his best but he’s playing a role for us. Without him it’s harder for Amiss and/or Jackson to build confidence as they’d be playing on gun defenders. We really really need both to build confidence.

Needs to stay in at least until Fyfe is fit.

Nope, not anymore. Taberner isn't drawing the gun defender anymore. The whole league knows he's not the main threat in that forward line anymore.

I would happily accept the 3 pronged attack of Amiss, Treacy and Sturt with the mosquito fleet buzzing around for crumbs. I guarantee whoever draws the main defender, the others are going to be able to pick up the slack.

Here's a "hypothetical" (it may be a reality now). Say Amiss becomes priority number one to the opposition and draws multiple defenders to nullify his impact. Do you really believe Taberner could match his output and impact on the game?

You mean could Taberner match the 5 game player who's career high is 2 goals?

Yeah absolutely man, I wanted to at least add Sturt to my wishlist but I thought I was pushing my luck with "Tabs can do wrong" crowd on here just suggesting Treacy back into the side.
Ffs, give it a rest. Three weeks of this shit. So did he run over your cat or @#& your missus?

Ha ha Yeah! Well no that wasn't what I meant, I just meant the general impact on the game. But when you put it like that, it makes him appear even less essential to the team because no, I DON'T think he can match the output of a 5 game player who's career high is 2 goals.

I don't like posters like this, overbearing shouters don't make for good conversationalists.

Seems we have attracted two of them on our board since the start of the season.

The thing about Tabs is, over the journey you could’ve said he’s an utter liability & at other times said he’s a dominant power forward & you’d have been right both times.
There has never been a player in my memory who has proven me wrong so many times & I’ve been on both sides of the argument.
He’s the definition of enigmatic.

So basically what you're saying is, you don't like me for making sense.

Well gee whizz, excuse me all to hell. I'll try harder to just agree with everything else you say on here from now on.

He should have been in #26 from the start

In his later years of footy Tabs is kind of like Zac Dawson. You're confused why he's in an AFL team and not the Harvey Brunswick Bulls.
