Not sure if anyone watched on the couch last night ( fox footy ), a glowing report on Port. It was mentioned Port handled the J Mac game fantastically, im sure they meant on and off the field. Also the crowd got mentioned as being fantastic, something to those words. It was only a short segment, but sweet.

Also got a good wrap on 360 for the same thing and Westy got a special mention.

Nice comment from Inside Football mag this week. In the Things we Learnt This Week colum - "Just when you think football clubs are soulless professional outfits along comes Port with its sensitive handling of the McCarthy tribute. His family appreciated a heart-and-soul effort", said it was all class. Also noticed that while Kane Cornes is still in the top ten for disposals in the comp he is also top five for tackles :)

That is one of my favourite things about this year so far...

This is a really positive article so it can go here, but it also says we lost Nick Salter at the end of the 2011 season and that our match against Carlton was our only memorable game last year (would have had North and possibly St K games there) so I guess it may belong in the shakes head thread too?
I tweeted them about this and the good thing is, for one, they actually responded but also acknowledged the error and encouraged their followers to call them out on such errors. I really enjoy what they produce. No fanfare, just solid football reporting.

Turned on 5AA and I think Rowie must have been talking to one of the Crows' assistant coaches or something about injuries and he asked "Was Henderson stiff?"

Don't know why Stupid needed to ask, it's common knowledge that Henderson pulled up a little stiff.

Andrew Capel is writing how Brad Ebert went to the pound and controversially selected a tough mongrel cat over a flashy Pomeranian that can run fast but has questionable toilet training accuracy and would have to spend an entire year completing puppy pre-school before being allowed outside.

Hinkley is on the front of the AFL Record this week and there is an article about his journey to the top job at Port.

Does the article explain how he was the last man standing after all of the better candidates pulled out and that he was very lucky to get the job?
