**** me, he's carrying on like Akermanis or something

Yep. In the cold hard light of day, the more he does that the better, as it will start to reflect on him more so than the club - eventually. Sad, but it's his choice how to behave.

.... whom they have just interviewed on 5AA rubbished our club......
The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single footstep. Yet when you come on here advertising that you still listen to them you haven't even put your shoes on.

Fair enough - but its the first time in months and only because I was driving back from Carrickalinga & wanted to know what was happening with the draft. Believe me, it is definitely not a station I listen to very often...

It doesnt help that ex players like Bl**dy Chad Cornes whom they have just interviewed on 5AA rubbished our club.

His words were - he thought the juniors at GWS really want to work & that they way the club handles their young kids is outstanding and that it was vastly different to where he came from. His intimations were very clear (funny that we managed to keep our kids then hey Chad?).

The d*ckhead Smutley (aka Graham Cornes) then re-iterates this continually.

A writer then sends an email and GC has a go at her saying that she is being too sensitive and that essentially Chad was sacked & you cant blame him for taking an opportunity. (which I have no problem with - I just have a problem with Chad's attitude).

Gra, gra then reiterates that Chad had no problems with Port supporters, but intimates he had issues with the club or the coach. Chad also made mention that Kane had built up & that he hoped that would impress the "coach". Looks to me that Chad and Primus arent the best of friends.

Honestly Chad just needs to STFU - he is really coming over as a very bitter person & really he needs to zip it up. His influence is immense and the continual bitter banter needs to stop. If he continues to rubbish our club, then this does not help us (he probably will also be the scout to try and get one of our players over to GWS given his relationship with our guys).

Personallly I may tweet him & tell him to be much more graceful. If he continues to drop intimations all the time about PAFC, then he really is just not seen in a good light & the supporters that love him will quickly turn on him. I would never wish him ill, but right now, I just wish he would pull a Grade 1 hammy that again re-iterates why we needed to give games to our kids.
Be nice if Chud could act as classy as Luke Power. Glad to see the back of him, has done ****all since he broke his finger in 2008. What a bitter family!

From my point of view you can quietly listen every day while simultaneously leafing through the Advertiser. But when you quote them, publicise them, let them and their advertisers know about it - that is where the problem lies.

CHAD Wingard barracks for Adelaide and tonight is hoping to be handed a Port Adelaide jumper. Wingard, a brilliant, left-footed, 183cm midfielder/small forward who can take spectacular marks and kick freak goals, supports the Crows and idolised dual Norm Smith Medallist Andrew McLeod.
But - with its first selection at No. 27 - Adelaide has no shot at drafting him.

So it begins.

To their credit, they both made some complimentary comments along the way and were at least respectful of the PAFC when speaking to WIngard tonight. Rowie even said something like "Well Chad good luck, its a big honour to play for such a great club"

And I thought that gra gra made a few rather positive comments about our organisation aswell.

Agreed. It was a very respectful piece by them.

I heard those comments and I thought he was referring to when he started, not comparing this year to last year?

If he was, I'm sure it is alot different now.

But can I say (repeatedly), end of 08 I was bashed on here for saying we should Trade Shaun B and Chad C whilst they have good value. In the end my wisdom was correct :)

Off with my coat and hat I go :)

Not directly Port related but someone emailed Cornes and Rowe a short time ago asking where all the Centrals draftees were this year. Rowe's reponse was "Centrals have been prolific in having kids drafted the last few years....."

Don't they have a mighty grand total of 4 players, including 52 year old Cullinan, currently on AFL lists across the board?

You forgot about Gilbert McAdam.

On senior AFL lists there are 7 Centrals players - Brad Symes, Travis Varcoe, Daniel Menzel, Nathan Grima, Justin Westhoff, Sam Butler and Jonathan Giles.

Show some respect to the greatest developers of football talent in the SANFL. Admittedly its mostly delisted Victorian talent, but still.

And what a mighty who's who of the AFL that is. At least when Port moved from the small pond to the big we had current and ex-PAFC players worthy of swimming with the big fishes. :D

Reminds me once again why I don't value any of Centrals premierships, since they couldn't win a single fight until the reigning champion of the SANFL had left of its own accord.

"There's no strength left in the world of men."

so this is what 5aa (and to a lesser extent other bad radio stations) offers us -

port player/s being 'interviewed' sometimes
'footy talk' weekdays (4-7?)
match coverage

??? any other positives?

general bias to the composite clowns
incorrect information given or allowed unfiltered
ex-crows players and coaches as hosts
awful music and advertising
bad questions (often stuttered) and discussions
callers who are imbeciles
MISINFORMATION and PROPAGANDA

the only logical thing to do is cut out the crappy sources and engage through other means !!! TV is shit anyway, the news offers nothing any more. you can download any show you are currently into on the world wide web. these sources have damaged the PAFC in great strides for decades so it wouldn't make sense to even discuss them. anything run by the people and sometimes the club is only good for Port which is good for the supporters.

Just for fun, players drafted from Port Adelaide Magpies that are current:

Milera (Terry), Lycett, Wanganeen, Stringer, Greenwood, Ebert (Brad), Thomas (Lindsay), Ebert (Brett), Didak, Burgoyne, Thompson (Scott), Johncock and Enright

hahahahaha channel 10 actually showed the crows and their shit draftees over Wingard. He gets 5 seconds, what a joke. First time I watched 10 news for a good 3-4 months and its still shit

Following notable losses, I'm not counting guys like Aaron Fiora or Harry Miller.

1988-1996 era (7 Premierships): David Hynes, Martin Leslie, Andrew Obst, Roger Delaney, Gavin Wanganeen, Scott Hodges, Simon Tregenza, Bruce Abernethy, Darren Smith, David Brown, Nathan Buckley, Brett Chalmers, Troy Bond, Shane Bond, Che Cockatoo-Collins, Darryl Wakelin, Shane Wakelin, Andrew McLeod, Clive Waterhouse, Fabian Francis, Warren Tredrea, Michael Wilson, Peter Burgoyne, Darren Mead, Byron Pickett.

PAMFC era (2 Premierships, 1 Runner-Up): Corey Enright, Alan Didak, Scott Thompson, Shaun Burgoyne, Graham Johncock, Brett Ebert, Brad Ebert, Scott Lycett.

But, but...

Luke McCabe!!
