Pretty much sums up Victorian media's attitude towards us.

It's getting pretty bad. The media have always been Vic-centric, but since the ascent of Geelong, Hawthorn and Collingwood we've been treated like Havant & Waterlooville to Manchester United.

The frequency with which SA-based players are misnamed, mispositioned and misidentified with a wanton lack of basic fact-checking is bordering on outrageous, let alone the ritual shitcanning of misinformation we've been gleefully subjected to in the past few years.

We really need to get on the front foot with our PR one of these days, both with a proactive media manager on the payroll and milking our sympathisers (Russell, Dittmar, Tredrea, Abernethy, Koch(!)) to the fullest.

In all srsns m8, is there any question that Liam Pickering is the foremost SA football expert?

He'd pump Quentin up if he was on his books: "It's pretty obvious that despite looking like a waxed gobbledock and not being able to stick a tackle, he gets under his opponents' skin and has a comfortable media persona."

Re: Pick 6 - Who to take?

According to Fox Sports Brenton Sanderson has been appointed coach of the PAFC so that would mean that Primus is out of a job.

No, he was being a grammar nazi. Should have been 'too' instead of 'to'.

watched ten news, there was 2 minutes on the crows new recruits, with press conference, port had 15 seconds with brad ebert, answering questions on the oval, before being cut to the next sports story!
Nice work shutsy, if leon signs with port, there will be a crows story on the guy who cleans triggs toilet, and a 3 second mention of some guy who used to play 4 collingwood

"Dom still good for another season" The Advertiser 16/11/2011

Highly-respected Cassisi has captained Port for three years after controversially being selected ahead of Shaun Burgoyne and Chad Cornes when club great Warren Tredrea retired.

I don't think I need to quote the author.

Was unaware Warren retired at the end of 2008. The things you learn from the 'Tiser!

No it doesn't, Aiston is just a douchebag.

Jesper ****stick at it again in today's Advertiser, naming Phil Davis as Western Sydney's 'top recruit'. Maybe it's just me, but I could've sworn there's been a teensy bit more interest in Tom Scully's recruitment. Especially seeing as Sheedy has said himself that he'd never even met Davis
