He also misrepresents Wingard's accident writing that he had to be flown back to camp after his spill from the bike. Chad wasn't flown back to camp but to the next checkpoint where the doc cleared him and he carried on riding, then did all the activities the next day.

Maybe firewalking would have been a better option ...

Cant our Club cut all ties with Cornes and co and when they still comment about us issue a standard disclaimer along the lines

Mr Graham Cornes has no media accreditation with the PAFC
As a result of this the PAFC would like to make clear that the views of Mr Cornes are his own opinions and not necessarily based in fact

Was funny seeing Rowe and Cornes broadcasting outside of Hindmarsh stadium on Friday night. Obviously trying to re-connect with the SA sporting public after their terrible ratings a month or so ago.

Were they up in arms over the treatment of Slory (was once a very good player but has done very little in recent years, coach didn't play him, he retired)?

I'm guessing no. And I'm also guessing it's because Slory isn't Graham Cornes' son.

In the sponsorship article linked in that thread Capel mentions the 'expensive' training camp in New Zealand. It's funny how it's just left out there as a hint of financial frivolity and never mentioned that the players and the corporates who attended both contributed significant financial support to the camp.

...and yet these same numpties infer that we're being cheap when only offering Neon what we can afford to pay him.

The media bias in this town used to be a joke, but it's gone on so long and is now so overt that it has become a real concern.

Speaking of media bias. Our woes are always a source of entertainment for the papers but state pride should be more of an issue. The Bite are having crowd trouble. So are the 36ers, Adelaide United and the Lightning while the Redbacks aren't too well off either.

A few years ago a lot of these teams were thriving and near the top of the table. All sport teams in Adelaide are in the doldrums and I feel that we lack coaches and sponsorship dollars.
