- Birth of the Adelaide Crows and AFL finally coming to SA: All Port's fault, treachery.
- Port Adelaide's decreed divorce: All Port's fault for signing it.
- The atrocious stadium deal: All Port's fault for signing it.
- The decline of Football Park: All Port's fault... somehow.
- OneClub Merger: Port coup to dominate SANFL, clearly.
- The increase in handouts that both clubs have received: All Port's fault for not getting 40000/week to a decrepit stadium in poor timeslots live against the gate, apparently.
- Football's return to the city: Great work by the SACA, SANFL, Govt, Crows and Port.

Yeah, paranoid alright.

I'd suggest Port has every reason to not trust him to be impartial with tweets like these:

Sorry Timmy, that IS the true Port Adelaide , That's the problem.

Port supports are a hoax. http://*******.com/3o4s9ke
Port Adelaide supporters are not prepared to live through bad times.
Take Richmond or Melbourne supporters, they still back their team, win, lose or draw. Port Adelaide supporters feel like they are hard done by if they do not win every week.
They want guarantees their team is always going to win otherwise they stop going to games and they quit their membership. WHAT A DREADFUL ATTITUDE.
That does not happen and is unrealistic.
They cannot accept the fact that they will lose matches.
Get over it

....@MarkAiston Just like when you said it was the Auto-Cue you were reading out and not your own Reporting

I actually used to like Aiston when he was on the ABC. I remember in the early 1990's when I moved to Sydney ABC TV had a footy show on Sunday mornings, with Crackers Keenan, Stan Alves, plus a couple of others and the Spin Doctors song Two Princes was the theme song. It was mainly AFL but they had a WAFL and SANFL segment and Aiston and Trigg would do a segment on SANFL games and usually take the piss. I enjoyed their skits very much.

Wind the clock forward to the early naughties and I hear him on 5AA Sunday roast show, when I was back in SA at X-mas time, away from his script and auto-cue and he was a stumbling, bumbling mess and was almost unlistenable. He was so constipated in getting his words out.

Over the previous couple of years I had noticed how if you took a TV or radio news person away from their auto-cue that they were bloody hopeless. I used to love Paul Murphy on ABC Radio program PM. But when you took him away from his script and questions he was bloody hopeless almost incoherent.

It seems to be that if you take the auto-cue away from an auto-cue reader, you end up with blubbering imbecile. Aiston is a star pupil of this group.

Haha for a so called media personality he only has about 20 more followers than he's following. Anyone ever see his dummy spit from when he was younger? Only the censored version is on youtube, still hilarious though:

Apparently he made the comment because

I wonder why that might happen? Why is his conclusion that we're 'paranoid' rather than making valid points about misinformation or misrepresentation? Is that his own conclusion, or did someone write it for him?

No one wrote it for him. It was on the auto-cue. I mean if it was on the auto-cue its fact! right? Riiiggghhhhttttt!

Biggest douchebag in the universe?

I've been trying to not actually come out and blatantly say what I think of him. Unlike REH - Asston has always gotten under my skin, always. IMO, earlier in his career he 'tried' to come across as the 'quirky' reporter/presenter. Other than very occasionally tripping into some humour I always took him as one of those preppy private school type nerds who thought he had that humourous unique slant on all things.

He then moved away from that 'quirky' type to an 'edgier' type (like so much of Australia's poor excuse for journalism seems to be). He just exaggerates, sensationalises and misrepresents wherever possible simply to get a reaction.

The gutless **** then tries to justify himself with comments along the lines of "I only read what is given to me"...........well, douchebag is too kind in my opinion.

For what it's worth, it was nice to hear ports media department is following these things up

Yes, the fact our media department is complaining about the negative press is good to know, good work PP, keep twitting away!

Mark Aiston said:
@MattTarrant @_SDU_ Thanks mat appreciate it, you all make good points, Pass on to all that i wont inflame situation any more, cheers

Lets see how this goes, willing to give him a chance.

lol. Whats the bet tomorrow:

'The financially crippled, void of cash, near death, basket case, mis-managed, SANFL back stabbing, supporter less, near wooden spoon, cash strapped, no star, no hope, shit coach, norwood run, established in 1997 Port Power Footy Club have welcomed superstar ex-Crow champion Darren Pfeiffer to the fold at training today....'

I expect the Bucky story to get us some good press, and it should be universally good press considering, but I have imagined in my head a cracker of a way to include a negative angle with it, which some of the low grade media might like. Would be Bay 13 worthy if it was on Big Footy.

So I won't bother writing it down for them. That bunch of organs can go write their own material from now on.

I remember laughing at Aiston back when Cornes was appointed coach of the Crows 20 or so years ago.

He asked him if he'd still be coaching Glenelg as well.

Except for one thing Macca I would have thought you were a NotW phone hacker reading that ... there is no such thing as a champion who has left the crows - there are only rejects. Only Port lose champions. I don't know how many times I read 'former Port star Nathan Krakouer' this past week. Star? By what definition?
