Well Sydney did us a favour by beating Brisbane today.

Now the equation is back to City being two points ahead of Brisbane, who have two games in hand.

So long as Brisbane don't win both of those two we're still in with a shot. It might come down to our match against them in two weeks.

We just have to win. Every week. That's all.

Jaliens has been a quiet revelation since joining from the Jets. He's just an extremely canny defender who is seldom out of position. His ability to play anywhere across the back four has been invaluable as well.

Meanwhile, with Ben Khalfallah seemingly on the way out of Victory, we'd surely do a lot worse than chasing him as a replacement for Duff, who he's probably outperformed this season. We've signed a stack of Victory retreads in the past, but surely FBK would be one of the better ones...

Doubt Williams will be with us next season. Seems a bit marginalised and was linked with a move away in January... he's the quintessential A-League nomad, he'll wind up at Newcastle or something.
