Malik should be CB. We should bring in a quality defensive mid.
Don't rate Melling as a starting 11 in a team aiming to win a title either.​

Malik is a better CM than CB and I'd sooner have Clisby in defence than him (but he's a depth player, nothing more). Melling somewhat stagnated as a player last year but I think with more responsibility he'll thrive.

FWIW, if Novillo leaves I'd have no problem signing one of Cahill or RVP Vdubs. Play the diamond midfield like last year.

Really? His performances at CB were mediocre at best IMO. He's a strong presence in the midfield and is more effective protecting the back 4.

FWIW Novillo is on his way out. We also have three visa places to fill wich will likely be a marquee mid, a cb and either mid/LB with the last spot. Add Cahill into the mix on the back of Gatt's retraction this morning and imo we'll go into this season with some thing like this :
