Good luck to anyone in there believing that even after he'd decided to dump Kallista, that Kallista wanted him so bad that Kallista murdered Charlise and somehow managed to get Charlise and vegetation evidence into a barrel in world record time, whilst he wasn't looking, so that she could have him to herself, without the burden of a child, who was already permanently legally in the care of doting grandparents in another State (QLD).

Some time was reportedly lost in the juror deliberations last week due to juror illness.
Jury took 6 and a half days of deliberating to reach its guilty verdict.
Sentence hearing August 23rd.

The jury had been deliberating since Thursday, June 6, though they did miss two days of jury deliberation last week due to the public holiday and juror illness

After the jury foreperson announced the guilty verdict to the court, Justice Helen Wilson formally convicted Mr Stein.

Stein will now face a sentence hearing on August 23, when the little girl’s family and loved ones will be able to provide a victim impact statements.

Justice Wilson thanked the jury for their service, noting that during jury selection many members of the public said they could not listen to evidence relating to the death of a child because of its confronting nature.

“I thank you most sincerely for your service,” she told the jury before they were discharged.

That remains to be seen. Incarceration of Stein doesn't bring Charlise back. And was he the only offender in this case? It seems to me that many other people failed Charlise along the way.

I have no sympathy for her.

An unfortunate combination of family wealth and a drugs problem.
Kallista let down badly by both natural parents in my view.

My point wasn't in sympathy with Kallista, it just wasn't lost on me how determined they were to frame her for it with Mrs. Stein funding his defence to do it. Stein turned on Kallista, when they were presumably in love and planning to get married, Charlise was calling him 'Daddy' which incidentally, also made me sick.

I have to say this but I honestly don’t understand this whole Daddy thing. As far as I know C had met S once before. This doesn’t make him Daddy. IMO it takes building a relationship with a child, earning trust, before a child calls a person (who is not their Father) Daddy.
I’ve seen this in the media too when children have been murdered by their parent’s new partner. Been together a week and a person is suddenly their step parent.
Unfortunately this ‘thing’ was never going to be Daddy material.

I was hoping I'd somehow feel better after Stein was found guilty. But Charlise is still dead, Kallista is free to live her life however she chooses and the Grandparents are left to pick up the pieces.

Relieved Stein was found guilty, now I hope he gets an appropriately harsh sentence. What a disgusting human being.
I imagine Kallista, and Charlise's grandparents, are filled with regrets, that will haunt them for a long time.

I think Charlise wanted a family, like her friends had, a Mum and Dad, even though she loved her grandparents. Kallista may have had similar thoughts, whenever she could get her mind straight. She might even have thought having a child to look after would help them to lead clean lives. A delusion of course. Little did she realise that Stein had anything but fatherly feelings towards Charlise

Considering K was found babbling in a drug induced state the previous Easter , she should have never had Charlise at Christmas time but I’m afraid money really does talk and it was probably because she was was going to the Stein family , it was permitted.
Kmutt admitted to using 9 points of ice a day at Easter , how was she so clean by Christmas? Did DHS even consider killersteins history and mental illness when allowing Charlise to go( I’m assuming she was under their authority?) , I’m all for family reunification but both Kmutt and killerstein had serious addiction, mental health issues and criminal records , im seriously wondering why she was allowed to go there in the first place but yes , Money talks .
If Kmutt was in a relationship with some everyday junky that didn’t have the support of a wealthy family, I believe things would be different.
