Hey guys, have any of you ever used the subscription based EXPERTS on covers.com...?? some of them hit at like 70% in nba/college and apparantly you only get charged once you collect a win or something?? its fairly expensive (400 a month) or something... but if you get onto an expert who's hot... it could be quite profitable..

i cant do this at the moment as i simply dont have the funds to bet big enough to use this strategy.... as i'd be spending more on the expert.. than what i was actually winning....

My plays for tomorrow:

Spurs -7 v Clippers
Lakers -5 v Rockets
T'wolves +10 v Dallas
Pacers v Jazz o193.5

Teaser: Pistons +15.5 / Pacers +12.5

Surely, surely the Lakers will get it right tomorrow.

Yeah right

I think you can pay $35.00 on there and they give you picks for the day. I have never used these kinds of services. There are a lot of people who post picks for free. There is a guy hitting 81% on his last 27 plays and he posts every play.

no upsets tomorrow...

miami into dallas into lakers into utah into san an...

ezy money

$39.90 a month and they are really good. I can confirm the tips on the records page are not made up. Site looks dodgy and some info clashes but simon in particular on nccaba is pure gold.

I like it. I like the UNDER better if it is at a good range (188+).

I could see the game going over.

Over is 5-1 in Trail Blazers last 6 road games.
Over is 8-2 in Trail Blazers last 10 games when their starting 5 players combine for more than 160 minutes on the previous day.
Over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Boston.

And when I read this I worry about Portland's ability to cover the spread.

Trail Blazers are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Boston.
Trail Blazers are 2-9 ATS in the last 11 meetings.

The more I read this, the more I'm confused!

What about Indiana (+8.5)? Is this right?

Their last meeting although was played in Indiana was a 122 - 106 victory to the pacers. They have been playing pretty good lately, thinking the 8.5 too good to refuse.

Pacers are 4-0 on the road ATS.

Jazz are also 4-0 ATS.

What do you think of the under in this one? I see it going under. Under is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings in Utah.

Yea I like the under, Jazz have kept the eight sides under 100. iMehmet Okur is still out for the Jazz, who has averaged 26.9 ppg and 8.8 rebounds over the past 4 meetings.

I reckon Indiana can keep this close. Tipping a scoreline of 96 - 90 to the Jazz.

Found this stat in another thread:

1st Quarter Points per Game

Lakers (Rank 1):
2010: 29.4
Last 3 Games: 28.7
Away: 29.4
Average 1st Quarter Margin: +5.6 (Rank 2)

Houston (Rank 2):
2010: 27.9
Last 3 Games: 28.3
Home: 29.4
Average 1st Quarter Margin: +2.2 (Rank 5) Last 3: +4.3

Which means stay away from 1Q lines right?

Things that pop out to me:
Dallas v Minnesota
Dallas are +2.9 average half time margin for this season and +2.5 at home, while Minnesota are a dreadful -6.0 average and -11.6 when playing away. However Dallas average 47.9 at home in the first half v.s. Minnesota's 50 when away. So maybe Dallas to win the first half without a handicap may be a play here.

Houston v L.A. Lakers
As mentioned earlier, the Lakers have an average score of 29.4 in the first quarter when playing away, and if you think that their last few weeks have been bad, in their last three games they have averaged 28.7. The figure I got was slightly lower for Houston at home; 28.7 as well. So the overs on the first quarter total may be a play.

Agree with you on the unders arkie. At first I was worried about both teams average scores of 102.6 and 97.4 (home and away) but given that their defences allow 96.4 and 97.4 respectively, plus the fact that the under has hit in the last 5/6 games when Indiana face Utah on the road as well as 5/6 of Utah's recent home games.

Plays for today:
LA @ Houston first quarter over 51.5 1U @ 1.87
Indiana @ Utah under 197.5 1U @ 1.87
Charlotte @ New Orleans over 187.5 1U @ 1.91
Washington @ Toronto under 208 1U @ 1.91
Portland @ Boston over 186.5 1U @ 1.91
New Orleans over Charlotte first quarter//LA @ Houston first quarter over 51.5//Dallas over Minnesota first half 1U @ 3.60
