I was watching Hitler's Henchman the other day and in one of the recreated scenes you can clearly see a copy of Margaret Thatcher the Downing Street Years on the bookshelf.

I really enjoyed it - was black comedy

I didn't mind it either but I just didn't find it very funny. The ending was pretty bad too.

Remembering Gene Wilder.
Such a sweet man and such a sweet film.
His whole life was informed by this instruction to him, when his mother had a heart attack when he was young.
“Don’t make your mother angry, she might have another heart attack”.
So he tried to make her smile, and laugh.
Spent the rest of his life trying to do that, it very much informed his acting.
Beautiful.

It lives up to the hype, it's good but not great.

Agreed. I enjoyed it.
Wasn't sure if i would, but an overall enjoyable movie.

I'd put it in the same category as Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. After god awful sequels (Beverly Hills Cop 3 / Indiana Jones 4), that tried to be new adventures a few years later, instead shamelessly played on nostalgia. Growing up in the 80's the nostalgia hit the spot. Certainly not hitting the heights of the original, but worth a watch, and somewhat makes up for the abomination that was Coming to America 2.
