So I finally joined Netflix, just to watch The Lincoln Lawyer. I’m a big Michael Connelly fan.

I couldn’t fault the casting in Bosch, but I’m not convinced with TLL. Cisco I visualised as a muscle-bound tattooed bikie, maybe with a shaved head. This guy looks like a homeless person. How he appeals to Lorna is a mystery.

I always pronounced Haller (in my mind) as … Haller, not Horler. I suppose it makes sense, I can accept Horler 😉. There’s something about him … I’m hoping he grows on me by Series 3. 🙂

Angus Sampson comes across as just not right in this as Cisco - both accent and tone seem off to me - maybe because I know he is an Aussie

I was not ready for the casting choice of H-A-ller but from memory its not wrong. Bosch though was even though he isnt named as such

I'm not enjoying this season as much for some reason.
I initially thought the same after the first 2 episodes, but it built into something palatable by seasons end.

Finished last night and agree with this. I really can't stand Lorna and Izzy though.
It’s set itself up well for another season with the ending, that’s for sure.

I’m fairly unperturbed with Lorna and Izzy’s characters, and I do find myself taking the piss out of Cisco’s gravelly accent on occasion, but otherwise enjoy the show and casting for what it is.

The Izzy stuff especially is nothing but filler. I give zero ****s about her dance studio and choreography dreams because I'm watching a show called the Lincoln Lawyer not Izzy's Dance Dream. Lorna is just ott annoying af. I swear they dialled her character up from s1.

Nek minnit they green light Netflix’s new hit show: Izzy’s Dance Dream

Yeah I made the mistake of thinking that some of these side-stories would link back into the main story.

What’s it about?
A diplomat.

Watched the Last Stop Larrimah recently.

Had to keep reminding myself someone was murdered and it wasn't a comedy.

Staggering to me that people live like that.

Truly awful they've got the guy on tape saying he'd done it (and even what he'd used) and they still weren't able to get him.

Really keen to watch this, but the better half hates true crime stuff.

Watching 'A Man in Full' with Jeff Daniels/Diane Lane/Lucy Liu.

Only a 6 episode limited series - has all the right ingredients to be interesting but it just doesn't quite feel like it's been put together all that well.

Got 2 eps to go so will reserve complete judgement until I finish.

Tom Wolfe's writing style is such a big part of his books that it makes adapting it for screen really difficult.
