They were great characters but it didn't really fit the show.

The problem with Black Doves is that it couldn't work out whether it was a serious spy drama or a slapstick comedy. The serious stuff was good. And some of the slapstick stuff was great. It just didn't seem to mesh well together.
It was very lucky for Keira that when the US embassy discovered an unconscious soldier in the building they evacuated it instead of locking it down.

I overheard someone watching Black Doves a week or so ago whilst preparing dinner and just from listening it sounded hilariously ridiculous. Might’ve just been an unflattering chaotic bit out of context of rampant jumping to conclusions (I’d still check it out anyway) but yeah it sounded farcical

Just finished watching Kings of Tupelo.

If you want confirmation Americans are crazy, it's a definite watch. Push through the first episode & keep watching.

It's pretty funny in parts because it's so kooky & bizarre. Had to keep reminding myself it was a true story.

Really enjoyed Senna
The weird part for me was I didn't even realize Senna had been killed while racing. I probably did hear about it on the news back in the day but I had forgotten about it, so the ending was quite a shock.

I was off grid in Africa when he died and only found out when I was watching Grand Prix when I got back home and asked where he was.

I tried watching it and kept switching it off and coming back to it - am currently in episode 2 somewhere and unsure if I will go back

And this is from a Senna fan boi
I get where you're coming from, I struggled a bit with Ep 2 as well but the racing scenes kept me going and the last couple of episodes were well put together I think. I even watched the BTS episode afterwards, amazing how much effort went into the whole production and set design.

I’m not sure if it’s still on Netflix, but I highly recommend Signal. (Korean series)

I started watching it on Paramount Plus, it's excellent. I usually don't have the attention span to keep going with a series for more than a couple of episodes unless it's really compelling, but I've made it through 9 episodes of Signal so far.

Yeah, same. Just loved this show. And what’s not to love; Elvis impersonators, conspiracy theories, small town Americana etc.
Kevin, the main conspiracy kook, was a classic. Just as he announces he’s done with the conspiracy stuff, right at the end he jumps back in and the family groans, again. Mind you, he had have every right to be pissed off with his brother, who did the dirty on him with his missus.

It was totally bizarre wasn't it? I had to double check after I watched it to make sure it really was a true story.

Some weird characters for sure. And Kevin wasn't even the most unstable dangerous one in the end.

bodies

pretty good. moved slow enough to build intrigue, which was helped by having to separate the stories.

didn't go into too much detail explaining the how and why's of the premise and central theme of the series. left that to viewer's imagination which i feel is best.

Carry On

Wasn't a Carry On Film. Lacked sexual innuendo.
That era has long passed. Can't get away with it (lots of things) in this puritan era. We watched an episode of Porridge the other night (not on Netflix) and we kept saying, "you couldn't say that nowadays".
