Why did we take a pre-signed player in the first round? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?

I didn't even realise pre-signed players had to be in the draft. That seems to contradict the idea of pre-listing someone?

That's a lot of pressure on Allen now, Evans was a crowd favourite for good reason.

Bummed about not keeping Evans, but I understand the Scorchers' reasoning. We can have Allen all season whereas Evans is only available for some of it.

Took my 5 year old to her first Eagles game this year, vs North , and she enjoyed the pre game fireworks and the Eagle but as soon as the ball was bounced it was "Daddy I'm bored".
All game it was "I don't like footy" "I'm bored" "I don't want to go to footy again"
But then she said
"But I would like to watch the cricket here"

Now all I hear is "Daddy is footy finished now?" "When does cricket start?"

I have tried and tried with footy but it's a no go ATM, but cricket was a surprise.

He had already opened the batting for England on the Ashes tour here before his BBL stint, so he was known.

The absolute OG import diamonds in the rough for Scorchers would have been Alfonso Thomas and Yasir Arafat.
