If the Sydney derby is rained out tomorrow the Canes will finish top regardless of their last game vs the Stars.

Hopefully in that case they still play all out with the intent to win if we're still alive come the last game before finals.

T20 with a title on the line, doubt they would be resting blokes and every player will want to prove they deserve to be in the XI for the finals. Tomorrow’s game is fairly irrelevant for the Scorchers but a big double header coming up Saturday.

Hodge just pointed out they did that exact thing a few seasons back in a dead rubber (rested players v the Stars) Maxwell went to town on them and they lost all their momentum for finals
