Fun fact - Melbourne City have their very own Julia Grosso - a young American who played her 1st professional match here at the start of last season, iirc. Turned into a very dynamic and ever selected footballer Not to be confused with her Canadian namesake who plys her trade in Italy

Wasn’t it 30 seconds past halftime? Over the 5 minutes extra? Matildas had the better of the first half overall but Nigeria did look dangerous going forward and got better at the contests as the half went on, so to hold at 1-0 up would have been a good result. Between this and the cricket tonight isn’t as fun as I’d hoped so far.

Pretty much just before the whistle sounded, devastating given they played better than Nigeria but couldn’t take their chances
