It's basically Merrett and Caldwell against the world. Nic Martin sucks again, Archie Roberts is terrible, Durham is a trundler, Shiel, Duursma and Hobbs are garbage. Who will Brad poach from North at the end of the year to try to fill the gap this time? My money is on someone from the membership team
Still nothing.I think you should have sympathy for them, but even if you don't, this should concern you. Under new management the AFL is clearly trying to stifle smaller clubs in favour of bigger ones. This is being done in various ways, such as 'marketing quotas,' match fixtures (both quality, timing, and difficulty - see Carlton's inexplicably easy fixture), free agency (all clubs have the same money, so free agents want to go to big crowd clubs - see Houston and many others), and umpiring.
Regardless of past history, this is a huge issue that clubs like STK, WBD, NM, GWS, and FREO have, and they need to band together somehow to prevent it. WBD are afloat at the moment through incredible father-sons, and GWS through the academy, but long-term they will suffer the same fate.
The STK president wasn't very eloquent, but his message last year was absolutely correct and applies to us too. If we keep squabbling with small clubs, we (and they) will not exist in a competitive sense in 30 years, as the AFL attempts to emulate the EPL and NBA.
$900k LOLThe wind blew and McKay is on the ground
Aberration? Back him in?Million dollar Ben 5 disposals, Brad will see the positive
Brad Scott on screen after that simple kick turn over in the middle of the”get him the **** off the ground”Tsatas kicking![]()

Crows are going to massacre us next week
Rebuild talk incomingBombers getting well pumped by Adelaide. Time for Scott to roll out plan A 2.0.
Durham is a jet.
Would take him here in a heartbeat.
We'll only know for sure when we see a sliding doors on the AFL website about the crowd.**** the AFL are dodgy pricks.
Claiming there is 47,000 at the G. Would be lucky to be 25,000.
Can’t report low crowd numbers for one of the so called big clubs, doesn’t suit the narrative.
Roof was open.Looks like McKay is having another great game.
Can't wait to read how it's an anomaly because the humidity was above 65% or something equally as insane.
Would have been a cancer at our club. Yeah we've been bad since but things would have been even worse.JHF once again can't control his temper when things don't go his way.
