I'm not watching but I wouldn't trust those plonkers to be getting HTB right tonight, tomorrow or by this time next year. They are incompetent at best and their poor standards. which have declined year on year in my opinion are the main reason I can hardly stand this sport. I still go to and watch North games. I occasionally check scores in others. If any other sports were worth watching I'd probably give up aussie rules purely due to the maggots.

As somebody who was brought up on Gaelic, soccer and rugby, I respectfully disagree with you. Hurling is the only game that would rule them all - if only I could see the damn sliotar…

Interesting thing about the Hawks midfield ifsthey have Worpel calling the shots. Watch them closely and he structures them up at stoppages as soon as he gets an opportunity to do so. Nominates the sweeper, positions the hit-to players, etc. Our midfield leaders simply don't do this and we will always underperform until we do.

The best thing about it is he frees up their best midfielders, Duke and Day, to focus on what they do best.

Blokes not fumbling, not dropping chest marks and kicking truely. This is the true difference, our skills would fall down in kick to kick let alone a match environment. See it every game, theres a reason fumbles are called coach killers. It may be coaching for sure as ultimately the coach should determine the amount of ball work that happens at training.

Totally different list profile.

They have a big group of players in the 23-28 age group that are playing very good footy, especially their midfield. Then you throw in some good youngsters.

Basically Sheezel, Wardlaw, McKercher etc in 2-3 years.

They look flakey at times, on their day they look pretty good, need their better players to fire.

Last year they were 16th and had a percentage they'd not seen since the Peter Schwab days. And this year, the highest ranked team they've beaten is in 13th.
