Bit of a woolly one this but a tribute to a fine achievement by the man facing the first ball.

Have they all hit their first ball of a Test innings for six?

They all made big scores in their last test? Something along those lines.

They all had much better ends to their test batting careers than starts, based on batting averages from their first few and last few tests.

The woolly part is how much is a few. The answer is different for each player.

Sorry guys I should have posted this xi a few days ago.

Pant is the superior player but if we're going superior paddocks, Moin Khan's kid is the king of all paddocks. Bar maybe Cornwall's.

Last XIs to make their test debut at home or away

Home
Pucovski (Sydney 20/21)
Harris (Adelaide 18/19)
McSweeney (Perth 24/25)
Green (Adelaide 20/21)
Patterson (Brisbane 18/19)
Konstas (Melbourne 24/25)
Webster (Sydney 24/25)
Carey (Brisbane 21/22)
Neser (Adelaide 21/22)
Richardson (Brisbane 18/19)
Boland (Melbourne 21/22)

Away
Finch (Dubai 18/19)
Head (Dubai 18/19)
Labuschagne (Dubai 18/19)
Voges (Roseau 15)
M Marsh (Dubai 14/15)
Nevill (Lord’s 15)
Murphy (Nagpur 22/23)
Sayers (Johannesburg 17/18)
Holland (Galle 16)
Kuhnemann (Delhi 22/23)
Swepson (Karachi 21/22)

Unsurprising that all of the spinners were away, none at home. (Steve O'Keefe and Mitch Marsh debuted in the same match, so it could have been five spinners in that team.)

And, oh boy, we've tried out some openers in the last few years.
