Re: The Office (u.s)

I didn't understand the episode at all, would have been nice to at least have Robert tell Andy why he didn't want his wife working at DM, instead all we viewed was a load of crap. None of it made any sense and added absolutely nothing to the show. All Andy had to say was he'd consider having her in the office and give her a call if she was suitable, instead it just dragged on and on and on.

Intro was good however and Creed on the roof with his remote control helicopter was funny but the only thing that interested me was Dwight and Darryl's gym sub-plot.

Only things left in the season that could possibly be any good is Andy getting fired and/or DM going bankrupt again, Angela and Pam's child birth although I think the whole Angela and the Senator thing could be interesting and for Robert California to go; he brings absolutely nothing IMO and i'd even prefer Gabe in charge.

Btw everyone needs to watch this…..

Re: The Office (u.s)

I didn't understand the whole Andy/Calafornia/Wife thing either, seriously what was the point? (they better not go the Calafornia's wife/Andy love story arc)

I also thought Dwights gym idea didn't provide many laughs either.

The only time i laughed through the whole ep, was when Jim climbed onto the roof and Creed was up there with a remote control helicopter :D.

Re: The Office (u.s)

to quote andy bernard - if you think this week's episode was awesome, then you need awesome lessons.

Thought Dwight had some Ok lines and I liked Jim's reaction when Robert called out from him to come into the meeting with andy and his wife. Did anyone else find it odd that they had John Krasinski climb that ladder with his shoe half off. It was hard to tell, but I dont think it was a stunt double and I imagine if he slipped, he would have at least broken his legs.

In other news, some people may be watching Ricky Gervais rather poor new series - Life's too short. This week there was a cameo of Steve Carell where Gervais was trying to get Carell to do regular guest appearances on the The Office as NBC had said they would greenlight 2 more seasons if he agreed to it. Although it was obviously a made up scenario, I wouldnt be surprised if a similar scenario is playing out behind the scenes.

It is so frustrating to know that the show would probably go back to being awesome straight away if Steve Carell came back.

Re: The Office (u.s)

I was waiting for someone to post about it as the last episode was so crap that I wasnt going to bother with it.

Are you talking about the ep with robert's wife?
Yep, it might be because my expectations are low now, but I found more funny moments in this episode than any other this season (Which actually isn't saying much as the show has been dull for a while).

Re: The Office (u.s)

I thought there were more funny moments than the rest of the season combined. Still rate it only a 5-6/10 though.

Re: The Office (u.s)

I rated "Mrs. California" very highly. Funny and interesting, I thought it was top two strongest eps this season. They focused on the main story and it worked very well:

- First time I've liked Robert California since last season's finale. Thought the scene with Andy in front of his wife were pretty funny.

- Felt for Andy. Ed Helms, again, proves to me that he is a very good actor. He can play the straight role so well.

- Don't know about leaving it with the "it's a date" ending. Kind of cliche'd writing... but whatever.

- Dwight Schrute is still great value.

Don't think it was a coincidence that this strong episode happened with Pam, Gabe, Stanley etc. getting minimal, or zero, screen time.

Really, this was my favourite episode of the season because it allowed for Robert California's character to play out more than just being the mythical, absentee, jedi mind tricking boss. Hopefully, they continue in this direction and leave Pam and Ryan and the like behind.

My wife has started watching the whole series..and she is up to S3. I watched a few eps with her last night.

Sadly the office is finished after watching last night.

I had forgot how hot she is. Even my wife said she would do her.

Im not as enthusiastic about this week's episode as everyone else, although It was definitely an improvement and was probably compareable to the crotch grab episode as the best of the season.

Does anyone else think Nate is awesome? More Nate would help the show.

It was good to see a different side of Erin. Most of the time she seems rather bland and devoid of personality; thankfully, this episode she was more opinionated than usual.

Definitely the best ep of the season.

But I couldn't give less of a rats arse about Darryl and his attempt to root the foreman of the warehouse...

Seriously if the last episode was the best one of the season, this show has deteriorated quickly. Did no one else expect erin to act exactly like that when she is pissed?
