According to Heath Shaw's manager, it is now likely that Collingwood's Heath Shaw is accepting a trade to GWS Giants soon enough and probably do a swap with GWS Giants' Taylor Adams during the trade period.

St Kilda CEO Michael Nettlefold has told SEN that St Kilda captain Nick Riewoldt is NOT going anywhere and he won't leave until he retired.
So, everybody. Case closed.

According to Mitch Cleary at Trade Radio, Collingwood has to wait about 7 to 10 days for Heath Shaw's future, because Shaw is at overseas right now.

Trades and Descions can Happen when players are overseas:rolleyes:

I'd be rapt if that were the case. We then have Picks 10 & 11 to dangle. :thumbsu:

Maybe.
Or band 2, end-of-first-round, which would be approx. pick #19 or #20.
Collingwood are hoping for pick 11 and trying to pressure the AFL by making assumptions, but nothing is confirmed yet.

The blues contract is for 700kpa, he fits the other band 1 criteria's.

Allegedly 700k per year.
Last year Goddard was allegedly 850k per year.

The AFL keeps the formula secret so they can play favorites when they want to, and use FA compo as part of their equalisation.

So who really knows?

One would think the AFL would let the club know prior to them deciding on wether to match the offer or not.

Pretty sure age is a factor along with original draft position- AA/BaF honours, and salary of course, I wouldn't put it past the AFL screwing us though.

It would be logial and transparent for the AFL to tell the clubs what the compo will be, before they decide whether to match the offer.
But last year I remember St Kilda were frustrated waiting for confirmation of the Gddard compo, and Hawthorn clearly had no idea they were about to be lube-lessly screwed on the Young comp.

The AFL do not always think in a logical / transpart / fair / consistent manner!:rolleyes:

I don't see anyway they could rate him as Band 2 when they rated Goddard as band 1, we'll get Band 1.
