He's had quite a few bad days out shooting in the finals.

11/26 v LA game 3 - 6/6 from the line and 9 dimes
9/22 v Seattle game 1 - 10/16 FT and 8 A
6/19 Seattle game 4 - 11/13 FT
5/19 Seattle game 6 - 11/12 and 7
9/22 Utah game 3 - 4/5
9/26 Utah 98 game 5 - 10/11

Sure I'm cherry picking a few stats, but you prove my point nonetheless (to some degree).

He's been to the free throw line 6 times this series. 6! He averaged 7 a game in the regular season.

Got to find a way to impact the game, whether thats by scoring, getting to the line and at least drawing fouls on key Spurs, setting up buckets or at the very least BOXING OUT on the boards.

Yep ur right.
Thinking about it, those Utah and Seattle teams weren't that great either. Couple great players on each side but then falls away very quickly.
Man I love Payton

so what say you MC Extra Dollop
you talked up LeBron and disputed anything I said in the earlier thread but here is LeBron's chance to even this series and take a giant step toward cementing his spot on the all-time greats list.

Parker will be hobbling and Heat simply must take advantage, if James is indeed as great as you say he is, he will take control and orchestrate his team and send this one back to Miami locked up at 2-2.

I think we see a thriller...last possession type-game and the winner is going to be Spurs :)

The thread where you said:

Let's hope for LeBron's sake they do not have to face either one of the Bulls, Thunder, Mavs or Pacers because if they do....it will not be LeBron closing it out.

And I said:

The Heat are currently on the second longest winning streak in NBA history. This probably isn't the best time to be giving it the old wait and see routine. I don't want them to win (hoping the Spurs do)

Is that the thread that you're talking about?

i would do everything in my power by the old gods and new to grow my hand back if it meant exchanging vitamins with kate.

anyway Ron whats ur take on todays game 4.

Confident we will win as long as Parker can play 30+ minutes.

We need him to be able to drive and collapse the D, so he can kick it out to the shooters.

Hearing rumours atm that LeBron will start at centre and Miller will slot into the 3. That will be interesting.

lebron can play any position he wants. guy's a beast. hope he does start at centre, although Magic at 5 > lebron at 5

The Kateslayer!

Going to the game tonight. Pulled off the road into a FedEX print center about 30 minutes out of SA and bought the cheapest seats we could on StubHub ($275). Pretty pumped. Mate is just pulling into the car park now, hopefully we get in before tip off.

When he turned 28, Jordan hadn't won a championship (hadn't even been to the finals) and had one MVP. LeBron turned 28 two months ago. By any measure, James is well ahead at the same age. As for the 'got better with age', well that has absolutely nothing to do with comparing them at 28 years old (quite the opposite). The pressure is on James to raise his game to the level that Jordan did. I wouldn't bet against him.

yeh that's the thread, ya know, where you said LeBron was the equal of Jordan and all :p
About the time when the Heat won 26 in a row and Lebron was averaging over 20 per game.

didn't erik spoelstra do any defensive homework on how the spurs play and move the ball? seems to be a defensive one trick pony, trap and run trap and run,and it just doesn't work on a fulltime basis

Huge advantage to the Spurs the fact we play Miami twice a year in the regular season and this year we rested our starters....

Cole makes them so more athletic, gets the best out of the big 3 when he's out there
