I thought Cleveland would waltz into the finals (cannot believe I'm typing that so soon after 2010) when I heard about the injury, but then I remembered the Bulls. If Rose can stay healthy and be Derrick Rose, they're a better team.

Give me Rose, Butler, Dunleavy, Gasol, close to MVP Noah plus Mirotic, McDermott and Taj over LeBron, Kyrie, Wiggins (or maybe Love), Waiters, Thompson, Varejao etc.

Anyone have thoughts on Greg Monroe?

I'm surprised that the Celtics haven't had a nibble now that Love is seemingly off the table.

Atlanta and Phoenix were mentioned as former sign-and-trade destinations, the former strike me as very surprising suitor.

Does sound awfully like an either/or situation re. Moose or Smoove.

Perhaps they'll be able to deal Smoove to Sac for Thompson + trade exception + assorted flotsam, resolve it that way. The way the Kings are still adding players, it looks like they're expecting to make some kind of trade.

If they can't move Smith, I don't mind a Monroe/Green trade w/ the Celts for either side.

At this stage Pistons would take a pair of worn kicks for Smith to settle the roster. I still maintain their team is better balanced without one of Drummond and Monroe though. They need to pull the trigger on something ... especially before the NBA decides to mess with the lottery odds system.

Also, good news Mike 'Lebron' Scott gets $10m/3. Fair value, but if he can improve his 3 % only a little more he'll be great value. His agents tried to release rumours he was thinking about going to CSKA Moscow. Not sure many GMs worry about the Euro threat on the 10th roster guy so much.

Just wanna say to the Indy supporters very tough break. It's been the epitome of the highs and lows for your ballclub lately. Tough patch after being able just about taste that trophy a few months into last season this injury to PG is just crap. Not to mention it sucks not being able to see the best play
