Meh, half the posts under the vid on ESPN were calling Lowry a flopper too, and I don't think they were necessarily Celtic fans. It's not a secret.

What Smart did on that specific play though was outright cheating - he wasn't 'overselling' contact or trying to draw a sneaky charge. He deliberately ran into a guy who wasn't even involved in the unfolding play, pretended that he was the one who was hit instead, looked at the ref for a call and celebrated when he got it.

If the NBA had balls they'd automatically count two points on the play, then give two foul shots to Siakam for a clear path/off ball deliberate foul, hit Smart with a tech meaning an extra free throw on top of that, plus award the Raps with possession. Let's see how gleeful hometown fans would be if Smart did that in Game 7 of the Finals and was responsible for giving the opposing team the opportunity of an eight-point-play. And yes, the same applies to any other player who engages in these types of shenanigans.

To me bragging about how other fans are 'jelly' or 'melting' after that is a bit like bragging to your mates that you slept with a prostitute.

That sadly is what footy fans say nowadays too. They are vociferous when someone dives/stages. We only need to look back at Papley as an example. But when their own player does it they remain strangely quiet or at least defend their team because others do it.

Yes correct, every sport has floppers.

I know what he was getting at because I re-iterated smart doing that more than others in my reply to him. I am a proud boston fan but i call it as it is again re-iterating in my reply to SOS i said i don't like it when smart flops or any player in any sport flopping for that matter.

Its crap and it ruins the game and slows it down. Trust me when i say i wish i was around to see the 80s 90s basketball.

Was hoping for a Jazz win but the Nuggets are a better chance of knocking out the Clippers imo so can live with it.
