After the Dubs, you've got another slew of very winnable games. Possibility of something like a 15-0 start.

Brooklyn is currently 3rd in the East, so that's how big a head start you'll have for top two seeding.

As Williamson is out indefinitely with a hamstring injury.

Thoughts and prayers.

We may as well punt the season. Again. Too far back already.

KD and Morant out for a couple of weeks.

Reckon Mikal Bridges is a shot at all-NBA First Team, cos he's the only player capable of playing an 82 game season any more. Or even 65 games or whatever the cut-off is now.

Stop, don’t put the mozz on us/ him 😂

Jordi Fernandez is already looking like a very capable coach.
Nets have been pretty solid so far this season and yeah Simmons cops some crap but he’s done enough in the game time I’ve seen him to contribute.

I think people expect too much from him? Serious injuries can completely change a players ability like Derrick Rose for example.
Don’t think Simmons is ever going to be a force like he was early days those days are over but he’s doing enough to be on a roster and contribute to how the team plays.

Even their losses have been OK. Losing to Denver and Boston in OT is pretty good, considering their roster.

Three problems though:

1) His contract. Soon to be less of a problem, but how much can he reasonably expect to be paid next season? Not much, I suspect

2) His position - he's going to have to adjust to being a defacto PF who plays in transition, because it's clear he'll never be able to play PG on a playoff level team again.

3) The mental side, which contributes to both problems one and two. He won't shoot, so he can't play guard. And because he won't shoot, he won't get paid. And that's even before considering the physical side.

He's not the worst player in the league, but he's a role player on a max contract. He might get some clean air next year.

But he was probably worth the contract pre injury. I can only relate it to footy terms but Dusty was good for the first 4 years of his 7 year deal.

It’s a shame injuries and the mental side of ruined his game but yeah he’s not going to be a star but he’s far from the worst on the league. Decent enough player to have on your roster for depth.

I was going to say the same thing. Back to back games of being very competitive vs the two best teams in the East.

They'll gut it soon though. They don't want to be good.

This site has you drafting two strong prospects. Player comparisons include james harden/stronger coby white, and D Wade (without jawline).

Other interesting comparisons include Russian Igor Demin who at 6'9" is like a twitchy josh giddey.

Schroder, Cam Johnson, DFS, Bojan can all get decent picks and/or young players in a trade

I'd expect they are aggressive soon

Would any team want Bens expiring $? Maybe another trade option
