Lets bear in mind that currently what we say about ourselves should be applied to Geelong too. We are #1 in the competition, we are the best (so far).
Geelong are the 2nd best (so far) lets not forget that.

As for meeting the cats in the first week? Please.....i'd much rather meet the Bulldogs they are so brittle we could snap them in half.

Yes I don't like the cats but I would MUCH rather avoid them if possible. Having that that if we should be lucky enough to be in the GF and they are there too. I hope somebody tears ablett and almight supernova sized new ass/colostomy bag.

I can't stand that massive man-child sook. I wonder if maybe it harks back to the days when his daddy was "God" and he's still burnt by always being in his daddy's shadow. Or maybe his dad always told little GAJ that he'd be god too someday.
Man must have a serious complex....

Funny thing is, if they lose to Bulldogs this weekend they could end up being 4th on monday morning :D

To be honest I'd rather Geelong whack some reality back into the Dogs.
As for Carltoon, hmmmm, can't find in myself to whore out my support if it gives them hope of any kind.
Geelong to smash them by 120 points.

Nah **** that. They don't deserve it.
Very sore losers as they are genuinely afraid that we are a legitimate threat. They are crying on their board that it was satanic of Pendles to say we dominated their midfield, which in the case of something like 64 to 33 inside 50's, then yeah your midfield was dominated.

I keep hearing this crap its not won in August etc and no its not. But we win and we are peaking too early, we lose and we are pretenders, anyone watching that game knows we should've won 7+ goals, what else can we have done in the last 8 games to show the world we are genuinely favourites and for a very solid reason?

Has anyone seen an article or have any clue they are loading their training loads or is that just a fall back? So many weak excuses coming out of the Cattery board and other neutrals who hate Collingwood. Love it how Cats fans just assume that once the calendar clocks into September that the planets will align and a flick will be switched and they will dominate the comp, when in reality they haven't really shown any dominance this year that would make me afraid of them like I have been the last few years. How arrogant is it to assume that they will go against the current trend and turn it on, and assume we will also go against the current trend and lose form, all I know is going into finals is I would rather have 2months of form leading in then no form and relying on the past.

Not all Cats fans. Unfortunately, those of us who dare to point out home truths to fellow Geelong supporters are in a diminishing minority. The most obvious facts to emerge from Saturday night (to me and anyone with a brain) were as follows:

1. Collingwood were way too desperate, committed, skillful, and simply superior on the night. Absolutely no excuses whatsoever. None.

2. The current ladder position is not an accident. You guys have been more consistent for at least the last month, and probably a fair bit longer. Right now you are clearly the team to beat and I'd argue by some distance.

3. Our record against top sides this year is not impressive. Thinking that everything can be turned around magically in the finals, and badly out of form players will become matchwinners is hopelessly naive at best, and arrogantly idiotic at worst.

Unfortunately, our recent success - especially last year - has totally brainwashed a large percentage of fans, who think every result is part of a master plan. Some have actually advocated losing the next two games as well (which is very possible too). I fail to see how starting a finals campaign on the back of losses is good, but again that's a minority view.

Anyway, it's your board so I'll leave it there. Good luck for the remainder of the season.

We can handle the Dogs, done 'em twice this year so fair point.. But IF the cats lose to the Dogs and Carlton they could bring in minimal confidence coming in to the finals playing us and we could beat them first round and put them in death row for 2 weeks OR Take your way, string a few solid wins together and they'll be back in ripe form coming into the finals..

I just dont want to play them in the prelim for precautionary reasons :D

Great post from the pear tree. I can't hate Cats/Cats fans too much, but the unbearable posturing has got to me in the last 2 months. It's good to hear that it's not as prevalent as I'd thought. :thumbsu:

Conversely, Pies fans still need to be realistic that we need another 6-7 weeks of only our BEST (not just very good) football to make the GF dream come true.

I can't stand the majority of Geelong supporters which is probably the same way for how they feel about us Collingwood supporters. I respect them but find them to be the most lippy, most arrogant bunch. I much prefer our rival club's supporters like Essendon, etc.

I think it stems from the arrogance the teamhas. Mark Thompson is so arrogant I refuse to listen to him and I love the insight all coaches give. I'm glad he would've had no excuses to use the other night.

I never trash talk teams after a victory, I love the playful banter beforehand regardless of what I think the result will be (who doesn't?) and I accept when Collingwood lose whatever gets said to me.

All that being said, I am sick of the bad wrap Collingwood supporters and our team get. I never gloat to others but my ultimate is taking down Geelong in a Grand Final. Please let it happen, then you'll see how being nice to Geelong supporters is to be done. If you read the crap they put on their website about us, you can stick your (albeit sarcastic) being nice to Geelong supporters forum where the sun don't shine :)
