Surely no one can actually enjoy watching the Rockets heave 60 3s a game?

God no, basketball has never been worse to watch than it is now.

Every game has as much defense as the All Star game and those that try play defense are punished with some of the most garbage reffing in sports.

What's the concensus on the bottom 5 teams in the league to support right now, just based on being no good, plus no future etc.
My thoughts in no particular order

Pistons
Miami
Wizards
Cavs
Pels

Cavs will get the 1st pick soon thought so will be okay. Pels just because of the inevitable dread of AD leaving. Top 3 teams, just mired in mediocrity with no change in sight.

But Okafor is a nice replacement :thumbsu:

And your post just made me realise I forgot the Knicks, they probably deserve to be in there. At least until Porzingis comes back and gives some hope

We know we've got Porzingis to come back. Don't project the loathing you have for your own team on us. There's some hope there. Knox this year helps plus knowing we can max at least one other star next season.

Orlando & Charlotte could easily make your list too.

What does their future look like when the likes of Vuc & Kemba start to drop off?

Orlando have some hope there with Gordon, Isaac and Bamba. Charlotte could definitely be in there though.

Not sold on Knox, alot of his advanced stats are really bad. Does have some tools though.

Knox shows some promise which is what gives us Knicks fans a little hope in relation to your opening comment.

Knox gonna be real good, I think going advanced stat hunting on 19 year old rookies (doesn't even turn 20 until August) is mostly a waste of time since they're pretty much always gonna be bad unless your name is Luka Doncic. He def shows enough to think he's going to develop into a very good NBA wing.

How do you fix it though? Almost have to ban 3's. Could make the 3 pt line the half way line but that won't make any difference to Curry :p

One thing I completely hate is any sign or any sort of incidental contact at the 3pt line is automatically 3 free throws every single time which is a massive advantage.

Yet when a player drives they are physically assaulted every single time and it is accepted that it should be a no call.

I don't necessarily have a problem with the no call - that is basketball. You go in there you should expect a physical response. I have a problem with a 3pt shooter getting such a huge advantage and so much protection.

Ummmm

GarPax mean nothing to you?

Jim Boylen?

Don't get me wrong, I think there's a lot of potential there, but I think there's a chance he just turns into a pure gunner, who scores and doesn't do much else.

This article goes into it a little bit, but also explains the positives of him aswell.

There's at least some young talent to think there couple be something on the horizon eventually.
Markannen, Carter, upcoming draft.

Lavine could win the dunk comp again or something...

Carter injured for 8 to 11 weeks.

Lauri needed his Finnish national coach to get him involved in the offence because our coach is an imbecile

Lavine plays less defense than the cardboard cutout of Michael Jordan in Home Alone

I was thinking this the other night. I wouldn't have penalty shots after 3 point attempts unless it was a flagrant foul. 4 points for one play is too many. It would put an end to all those ridiculous flops. How's the Lakers' luck? We finally have a night when Curry shoots poorly against us, and then Klay blows us out of the water. :)
