you could argue he has increased his 3pt attempts which is relevant but i distinctly remember a stat showing his freethrow per drive were lowest with cavs (second stint) and i am now determined to find it... it was about a year ago i saw it but given last season was his worst season with freethrows since basically his rookie season I dare say it is still fairly accurate

you may be right with lakers being lowest (i was more referring to Lebrons second stint than his first... recency bias yes)

his freethrow rate including his first stint with cavs is:

40.95% - cavs

42.55% - miami

38.1- lakers


and just his second stint with cavs was - 37.38%

Not really enough in it to complain tbh. Even if you look at just his second stint. 42.55% to 37.38% is a drop of about 12%. In the same period the league dropped over 4%, so he's 8% up on the league. Throw in that LeBron went from shooting a bunch more 3s, you're talking marginal numbers.

Alongside Shaq, he's a tough guy to officiate. I'd hate to be a ref making calls for him.

I have no doubt it's accurate. He's a hard guy to ref.

I'm not sure free throw rate per drive is a great stat. So, much has changed since he first came in the league. He would have been getting a lot more resistance in the middle back in 2006 than now.

Well I have to disagree with you there I think freethrow rate per drive is the best stat for it given most of the others include taking intentional fouls at the end of close games
