Philadelphia 76ers head coach Doug Collins received the endorsement of Boston Celtics head coach Doc Rivers to lead U.S. basketball to gold in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janiero, according to Comcast Sportsnet.
Mike Krzyzewski confirmed after winning gold on Sunday that London would be his last coaching stint.
Rivers said Collins would be best suited for the job in part because Collins was on the 1972 team that lost gold to the Soviet Union at the Olympics in Munich.

The more I think about the Lakers this season the more I'm not completely sold on them, just thinking of the Nash/Kobe backcourt.

They would get abused defensively by everything, hell I'd back Kendrick Perkins to beat Nash off the dribble.

Is Dwight really enough defense to cover that level of sucktitude?

Why would the Hawks do that? They are rebuilding... apparently
Because the Lakers say so.

They have the artist formally known as Artest as well, but agreed.

But in the last few years the Lakers have been running either Fisher, Blake or Sessions at the point guard spot and have still been doing ok. Nash is only marginally worse that those guys defensively and it could be argued that Dwight is an upgrade on Bynum so I don't see that being an issue.

My interest with the Lakers is Dwight's back and how well Kobe copes with a ball dominant point guard.
