Anthony Davis is cooked. No idea why they playing him through his foot issue. Just give him 2 months off to get it right.

They need to put more faith in Gabe Vincent to start and just provide some actual defense at the guard spot also.

De'Andre Hunter off the bench is playing least minutes of his career but by far the best in all his numbers. Almost a 50:40:90 guy this season.

Jalen Johnson is a absolute beast this year. Perhaps even a all-star? Hawks gotta be happy with the way they are going. A upgrade at the C spot and they are going to mean business I feel.

Not winning most improved player last season was an oversight. I wonder if he could actually win it this year.

I think its a case of him being able to get the ball earlier on the shotclock which means he can take better shots.

Felt he was getting a fair few catch and heaves last year which isnt happening from the bench

Said a couple of weeks back that the Lakers were the least convincing 10-4 team in recent memory.

First week was decent, but since then it's all soft schedule wins and blowout losses.

LeBron's on/off numbers are catastrophic.
Yeah funnily enough they are now on to a 3rd coach and still wondering what is going wrong... It is the roster. It is bog average. A bunch of solid players and two guys who can only give you 'superstar' levels on an inconsistent basis these days. They are 12-10 or whatever it is now which is right around where they should be, that is the Lakers level.

Of the lakers 10 losses this season, already have 5 that have been by 24 points or more.

If the Lakers were an AFL team, the AFL would give them priority picks.

This is pretty much it.

The year after they won they championship, they started 21-6.

Since then:

2020-21: finished season 21-24

2021-22: 33-49

2022-23: 43-39 (expected wins: 42)

2023-24: 47-35 (expected wins: 42)

2024-25: 12-10 (expected wins: 8)

That's almost exactly .500 over a very large sample size of games, and statistically they've often been below that even.

Miami is an interesting parallel, but even they are over 60 games over .500 in that same span.

The Miami bit surprised me at first because we are well and truly entrenched in that shitty treadmill cycle but we did make a finals and ECF in that time albeit 1 we barely made the play-offs.

Think we are well and truly in the same boat now though. Very average.

Made playoffs in 23 of the last 29 seasons.

Had LeBron. Had Shaq. Had Riley. Built a bunch of statues outside your arena.

LA of the East confirmed.

Also this was lost in the wash..

lol

Also lol (Warning: crude language)

Tari Eason also tried to call full Artest and enter the stands.

Bring harsh on AD.

Bring harsh on AD.
It probably is slightly harsh, his start to the season was certainly hot. Just don't feel he is on the level of a few others that can drag these mid teams to a high seeding (not many can).

AD is a very very good player and with the right team around him you can be a legit title contender. However he is not on the level that just makes most teams a contender.

I'd disagree largely with that too. He just wasn't assertive enough with us, too tentative. Lost count of the amount of times we'd plead with him to have more confidence to shoot the ball.

We had an elite bench last season, and he was a big part of that. We knew his value. He's effectively playing the role in Atlanta that Herb Jones played for us last season, lone defender in an otherwise offensive-orientated starting line-up. Whereas as part of our bench last season, he played with a defensively-orientated group.

We were just stacked last season with defence-first wings - Herb, Naji Marshall and Dyson. Naji has shown offensive growth in Dallas, and I'm not surprised Daniels has more opportunities to score playing off Trae and Jalen Johnson.

Also, he's shooting 29% from three and 60-odd% from the free throw line, so we shouldn't pretend he doesn't still have some rough edges still to polish. I'm glad he's thriving on a new team, but the narrative that we were holding back the battling Aussie is incredibly lazy and needs to die. I'm first to jump on my team when we do something dumb, which is often. Plenty to criticise the Pels for without making up false narratives.

I dont subscribe to the thought that he was misused, just more that he clearly feels that he had far more of a role, or confidence instilled in him in Atlanta.

You must admit he looks a different proposition and its rubbing off on both ends of the floor.

Could just be a change of environment, coaching style or any of a million other factors
