I think we need to win every age from now on, at the G, no matter the opposition. Planning ahead means we depend on other results, which may not happen, eg we win and Pies lose and we Cats win by 500 and end up 4th and we play them in the qualifying final!

I think it is time for us just to worry about our performance, as if we play to our potential, then no won beats us!

In all likely hood we will face one of the following 2 scenarios in week 1 of the finals -

a. We win and play the Pies, should they beat the Bombers, at the MCG in front of about 80,000 people or
b. We lose and play the Crows @ AAMI in front of about 40,000 mad SA folk.

Might seem an easy choice to play at the G, without travel, but I can see the Adelaide game as a ticket to the prelim in some ways. I think the Pies have some X Factor and will be far more dangerous come September.

I know there are other scenarios but these are the most probable 2, what would you prefer?

Actually, there is a third probable scenario;
c. We lose, Swans lose and we play Swans at MCG

On form, I think I still prefer a.

Yes, Hawks V swans more likely than Hawks V Crows.
Take the Pies any day.
Win and we get Swans, Crows here in the Prelim (or the Cats).

May even change my vote, watched the Eagles / Pies game and the Pies look shot. Dawes and Cloke are so far away from form it is ridiculous.

Make no mistake we will be playing collingwood next week and it will be a very tough match. They will be the underdogs and will put every thing into beating us, if cloke and dawes switch on we could be in strife, this match will decide the flag for mine, win it and I think we are almost home, lose and while we can still win the flag we will have to do it the hard way, either way I will be hopeing the bombers get up this week and we get the weagles at the G again next week.

Neither.......

I hope it turns out that we play Adelaide here.....

It means the Bummers have to beat collingwood, but you never know..............

Playing Adelaide (anywhere) would be an amazing gift. I'm just worried we'd rest 2/3 of our team & lose form/momentum.

Adelaide are s**t. Beating them in the H&A should only be worth 2 pts. I'm surprised the AFL doesn't give them an
8-goal start for each finals game just to keep them in it beyond half time...

Think your waaaaaay overestimating the threat of Collingwood if we are fortunate enough to get them week 1 expect a fearful hiding.
