Re: Bomber on 3AW shortly...

He said Travis will play. Just still a little sore after last week. Two or three other players in the same boat. No different from the recovery situation after most games. Still reckon that if everyone comes up Kel will miss. In no small part due to the games he recently missed through injury. Wouldn't expect to know definitely until Friday morning.

Re: The player who is going to miss the grand final due to Chappy coming back has been told

Reported on SEN that Travis Varcoe has pulled up sore from training today, so no doubt it will be him.

*sigh*

Bomber said Travis is likely to play. He will be tested on Friday.

No Varcoe, no Geelong.
Tonight's rumour is very disappointing to say the least

Also reported on 6pr in Perth. Sincerely hope this is not true, otherwise he would have to be the unluckiest kid going around.

I think its Varcoe. He would have been near a certainty until Thompson said he'll definetly play. And now he is apparently sore. Seems like a good excuse for Bomber to fall back on.

Limped of the ground late in the last quarter. Was still limping when the boys left the ground fri night. And Bomber said will play unless he is injured or gets a virus. So maybe he knew, the press didn't listen properly.

Bomber said he didn't know Varcoe was sore when he said what he said.

i think bomber just realised he stuffed up LOL
and has 2 make an excuse to drop him now!!
as good as he played last week you really crnt drop any of the other guys against the hawks ... its a GF ... u wont your best 22

harddddddd decision ... but lets hope its the right 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Varcoe must play if he is fit. Since we have been great we have always played one of Varcoe or Byrnes in a forward role. Why upset the balance now. Wojo has played one game in 9 weeks and crucially he got dragged down twice last week whilst trying to run full tilt out of defence. OK, he got a free kick on one occassion but he wasn't his usual 'No one can catch me' self and he wasn't bad eithor. With the time out he has had he was probably running on tired legs anyway. Wojo's best chance is if Stokes is gradually being worn down by o.p. I don't even know if he even has o.p. but his form would suggest this is more than just rumours.

Botton line is you really need to be on the inside to even have a meaningful opinion.

Re: Bomber on 3AW shortly...

You'd think Wojcinski would miss. He didn't play all that well against the Bulldogs the other night and he's been in and out of the team all year. Although do Geelong really need two small forwards? (Stokes and Varcoe)

Re: Bomber on 3AW shortly...

What training? Last night? Wasnt it a closed session?
This morning, in the light session. They all did very light drills but he didn't even kick a footy.
