Junior Co-Captains Address

It was a funny old game where it didn't feel like we were making a whole lot of mistakes, things just weren't going our way with the umpires and our marking was poor for the most part out of defence, rest assured that 'deep fried butter' will no longer be on the pregame menu! We gave up some easy ball that we shouldn't have and the Bears capitalised, full credit to them, but that's the best Qooty they'll play all season and we haven't even started the car yet, make no mistake about it we're coming, we're just on Royals time

What is obvious currently is how much some our youngins' are stepping up in the absence of experience, with krakouers85 and Fitzey both putting in respectable shifts, 12 and 11 marks respectively is insane, I don't think I've got that many in my career! They'll be on tackling training this week though, time to utilise those twig arms and the cuddling time CakeEater has been giving us! The Filth Wizard and grumbleguts got 3 each, which just shows we can kick goals, it does need to get there first however

Anyway, it was a week, and you have them in Qooty, now it's eyes set for Round 4 against the Mount Buller Demons (we're away again, which is some ******* awful fixturing NaturalDisaster) so make sure you're rested up and pack your ski equipment, manangatang has offered to roast us all some homebrew :crown: :crown:

Lets start of with the positives, because as I was always told when I first started coaching, feedback should be a shit sandwich when working with beginners. Not a sandwich that is shit for a sandwich, but a shit surrounded by positives. Anyway, god it was a fun week, and a credit to the demons (manangatang and Callums_Guns have done well there) that we had a match thread get to 86 pages and at no point did it feel like a drag or spammy, it was a genuinely enjoyable high volume match thread with discussion going everywhere, no topic was untouched and a nice escape from what has been a pretty shit week for NSW and VIC, so thank you demons, and we hope that the next match thread this season is just as good (Hopefully Headless pops in, hope you're well man)

In this grand thread was a grand event of sorts, Marlowe hit triple figures for the first time in his 240 game qareer, insanity. Not only did he beat his previous record (96 from memory), he trounced it, perfection. We also saw a lot more of Fitzey, nahnah and GreyCrow which is never a bad thing, but don't forget, we're happy to hear from any and all of you in any amount <3

And now the bad, we're zero wins from 4 games, luckily Barrybran has done us a solid and made sure the Gumbies have been more of a rabble than us so we avoid the bottom of the ladder, just, for another week running. Is there a really good draft prospect we're tanking for? Anyway, we can't keep losing and I've decided that we will NOT lose this week, therefore I'm expecting season high performances from all

Speaking of this week, we have a few key things to consider. A special milestone for The Filth Wizard who will rack up game number 300, there's far more glamour and attention to come to this through the week, but make sure we have an extra special performance for him. Arguably more important than that, MC Bad Genius plays his first ever game against the Dragons after crossing over during the off season, huge game, get up for MCBG team!
