Obliteration. Plain and simple. By us to them. It was over and out after a huge ten goal to two second quarter and we were able to run it out by 71 points. There can be no doubt about it, the last month has been near perfect, unbeaten granted. Percentage with a huge boost and back in the top four but it can all fall away again in a fortnight so this week is probably our biggest statement game, and the task is beating the league leaders at home. Last time we played we beat ourselves with bad accuracy and it started a run down the ladder. Win and we're talking about top two and maybe even the minor premiership.

Anyway, enough about next week... some huge games again this week. GreyCrow has become the in form ruckman in the league recently and is pressing claims for All-SFA. Marlowe again tackled up a storm and spookism has been in a rich vein of form. The forward line is again sharing the spoils and Blacky again won his battle with a rival spearhead.

Posting wise it was the quietest week of the season with only 12 players contributing and minimal double figure effort. Apart from that, again I'm proud of you all.

You beat the top team on their home turf and as a result we've rocketed to second and with two favourable results this next round we very well may lay claim to top spot and put ourselves into the box seat for a second concurrent minor premiership. Not to beat around the bush but that was probably the best in season game we've had for a few seasons in relation to its context moving forward.

Let me single out some huge performances, starting with Ulahoopski who has been enormous the last few weeks. Four goals from the flank was hugely important, as was BRAB's three. I can't speak higher of the mid trio of Marlowe, nahnah and spookism enough, the latter has found his feet back in the guts in particular. It really is like if Marlowe was Tom Cruise and nahnah is Val Kilmer and spooks is Jon Cryer in Hot Shots!

The posting jumped up massively this week which was great to see and it was our best tally for about six weeks. We have the Gumbies this week and if it's anything like the earlier encounter it'll be a nice fun one, they're a solid outfit.

As for the team effort and huge recovery this season, well what else can I add?

It was all there for the taking this week and we left it in the changerooms unfortunately. A big opportunity to take top spot and we handed it to our opposition, sending ourselves into the pack in the bargain. With only a game and percentage keeping us in the 8 now this week is the genuine must win of the season as we host the Roys, a team waiting to take our spot. It's also a vital win just for top four status now.

Game wise, not much to report. The sim moved a lot around in a weird performance, grumbleguts in particular able to monopolise on a consistent role. We were jumped early so none of our lines were really able to present a win.

Posting wise, not terrible, not great. A slight drop again, and two less posters so that's the answer there.

Finally, I committed a cardinal sin as captain this week and while something was nagging me all week it's only when compiling the stats that it hit me and I need to apologise wholeheartedly to GreyCrow for neglecting his 150th this week. GC is an absolute lifeblood poster at the Royals, is a constant presence and one of our esteemed LG. I promise you next week everything we put out will be for you. Congratulations on 150 with the Royals mate.
