Something about Randy Wittman and his staff I reckon.

Last year it was Ariza and Webster with the big improvement, Wall has become much stronger from the arc than anyone expected early on, Beal is Beal and even Garrett Temple has seen improved 3 point consistency in a minor role. Still reckon Randy is a bit mad but he has the Wiz playing efficient ball.

Yeah, there must be something in the offense, affording these guys good looks.

Butler's calling card has always been his outside shot (44% of the shots he's taken in his career have been from outside the arc), but he's never really shot consistently great percentages (career .364 3PT%), until now. He's getting it done from inside the arc and from the line, too, which is a notable improvement as well.

If the Wizards can keep up the outside shooting form (even Drew Gooden is shooting .438 from deep, on a couple of attempts per game!), and get things going a bit more inside too, I think they can be a dark horse team to take out the East. They're firmly top four (along with Cleveland, Chicago and Toronto), at least. They've got the inside scoring (Gortat is one of the highest percentage finishers in the league, and Nene and Seraphin are deadly inside too) and the depth, and are underrated defensively, too. Their time is now (Andre Miller, Paul Pierce, Butler, Gooden, Nene and Gortat are all over 30), you'd think, so it'd be good to see them go far.

Would be pretty exciting to see Toronto (#1 in the East right now) - Washington (#2 in the East right now) and Golden State (#1 in the East right now) - Memphis (#2 in the East right now) conference finals series'. Hopefully they can all maintain their hot starts, and give us something new and different come May/June.

That would be pretty awesome. Especially since huge locations such as LAL, NY, 76ers are fighting for the 1st pick.

Back to the Washington discussion a few posts up, I think Garett Temple has provided more than anyone could have expected at the 2 guard position. A perfect back up for Beal. He's founded a really nice all round game that didn't seem likely two seasons ago.

Whenever I watch the Cavs, Kyrie has a blinder and LeBron a stinker. Knicks could use two Shumperts

Dante Cunningham back in the league for the Pels, didn't realise the charges against him were dropped back in August.

Marv Albert is having trouble pronouncing Maryborough, Victoria it seems :)

lebron rears his head

he does what?
