I don't think anyone should be expected to just accept abuse on any level. Abuse is abuse and shouldn't be tolerated.

There's a line which I would think is pretty clear between simple 'banter' and abuse.

It’s such a dangerous and ignorant line of thinking. This is how the abuse is conditioned as acceptable and then repeats itself later in life.

Violence, domestic abuse, family violence, sexual abuse etc, the same principle applies as this bullying example. So often, the victim then perpetuates this behaviour later in life with their loved ones, children etc. It’s an excuse that absolutely needs correcting in order to break the cycle.

Very true.

I will say though that from the bullying I received it has made me a more resilient person. Definitely developed a thicker skin and care little about what dissenting strangers think of me.

Not sure if that is merely a silver lining sort of scenario or something that somehow could be ingrained, hard to do I guess without bullying someone, we all have heard about that girl last year who committed suicide due to online harassment so openly encouraging it to boost a thicker skin seems wrong.

Pretty much. If I find a post funny, it will get a laugh react. If SM ever said something funny, I would give him a laugh react too. I don’t discriminate with my reacts. The problem is SM never says anything funny.
