Unions over here actively discouraged teachers from giving zoom lessons.

We dont do zoom. Set work is uploaded to an app (seesaw in our case). Teacher reviews work, comments made. Reviewed by parent, edited and resubmitted to teacher.

Our exercise sheets never made it back to teachers. Was down to parents to mark and correct.

My oldest could submit stuff online, but that was just to prove she did it. No-one marked or commented on it.

Jeez thats poor. Werent teachers still on full pay? What exactly have they been doing?

Actually to be fair they did provide answer sheets as well. Some of that year 5 stuff can be quite tricky.

That’s not teaching...all should have been available on zoom all through the lessons, not just dump worksheets and have parents take care of it.
