Part 4 is here:

Oh it would cost a fortune. No doubt.

That kwinnana freeway along the river should be first

It’s so sad the once infamous Como beaches have been destroyed

Beautiful beaches but notorious for swingers and dogging back in the day

I think there is still a playground with swings and plenty of people walk their dogs along that footpath.

I would love to see all major roads sunk and above turned into green areas

How much would the land above the freeway be worth if the whole thing was a tunnel except the ramps on and off?

The only parts of the freeway that would make it economically worthwhile would be in the city, and of course part of it is already a tunnel.

I would love to see all major roads sunk and above turned into green areas

This is even more implausible.

There was talk about building a park over the freeway between parliament and the city but I think we're going with an indigenous museum instead.

In a similar vein, but on a much smaller scale, they're going to make Skyrail in places along the Armadale line. How they use the reclaimed land underneath with be interesting. Parking and parks would be obvious but locals say it'll attract dodgy people.

They do realise it is Armadale, yeah?

Just letting people know that I'm on the CRG for the Mitchell Freeway Extension. If anyone wants any particular issues raised at our next meeting, let me know.

Edit - CRG stands for Construction Reference Group.

Does the CRG have a diversity policy? My observation is the freeway is still dominated by drivers who are white, male and over the age of 18

The loss of tourism dollars is nothing to do with McGowan - that’s international tourists but it makes good liberal rhetoric. People can still go interstate or come in to this state, just be prepared to pay for it - again not just McGowan but it’s a thread that you can hold on to

His heavy handedness with the border has scared interstate tourists off. Who wants to go to WA for a holiday with the real possibility you could spend the first 2 weeks in quarantine if a case or 2 pops up. People visiting families is a bit different but people using annual leave aren't going there and potentially wasting their leave and their money. How long it takes for that confidence to return is anyone's guess.

It's also the snap nature of the uncertainty. Not everything is refundable, and everything that is impacts someone. I had one friend come over from NSW just before their Northern Beaches (?) cluster that had to get COVID tested and self isolate (test was negative so was free to mingle after that) and I know one person who had a wedding planned down south the week of the Perth and Peel 5 day lockdown. People would probably have flown in. Weddings costs tens of thousands and someone lost out on those tens of thousands, whether it was the bride and groom, the venue, venue staff who missed out on shifts etc.

Like a lot of people I had overseas travel booked a year ago before anyone really know how COVID would unfold. Now you can book annual leave, make plans etc. (not overseas of course but interstate or within WA) and have those plans turned upside down because one person tests positive.

He runs a really successful drug rehab for both men and women.

There was one of them in Canberra about 20 odd years ago, she even received an Order of Australia or the like for her work.

Not long after, it was revealed she was a big dealer in the ACT. She was dealing to her clients, got locked up for a number of years and was unsurprisingly stripped of her honour.

Just read a mate’s post......just a reminder for all the consequences to drink driving can be great

“For those of you who know my brother.

He was in an accident last night at work whilst doing road management. A drunk driver has collided with the back of his work Ute crushing his legs between the vehicles.

He has survived this somehow, but unfortunately he has had one of his legs amputated.”
