Hey hey just checked the weather forecast for the next week and I don't want to get everyone's hopes up but I think we might finally be seeing the arse end of makuru and the beginning of djilba.

The WAFL Colts system does more to develop the players than the PSA schools. They spend all summer doing their preseasons with their WAFL clubs then go back and dominate the lower standard PSA comp.

I don't have any stats to back it up but it feels like more PSA boys get drafted with limited or no exposed WAFL form (Colts or League) compared to non PSA.

That's because PSA are the only school comp that take precedence over Colts (even though the WAFL programs are doing the heavy lifting to develop them).

Every non-PSA player is playing Colts instead of school footy, so there's no such thing as a draftable non-PSA player without WAFL exposure.
