image.jpg Photo from Rockingham Fire dept of lightning over Warnbro 20 mins ago... It's like a scene from war of the worlds down atm. Bit of rain too...

Loving this - got the curtains open, the window open. The other half has taken off to the lounge room as he prefers air conditioning so I have bed to self - perfect night
:thumbsu::thumbsu:
I guess this is what the kids and I must've looked like tonight....

It is just one of life's magnificent simple pleasures - especially when it is dirty big streak lightening.
There was loads and loads of sheet lightning, but the forked lightning seemed to be always out the corner of my eye :(
I know you're not meant to stand near a window during a thunderstorm, so I lay back on my daughter's bed and we watched it together for half an hour or so. Can't believe we all got front seats! Wish I'd sat out in the hammock for a couple of hours- would've been like sitting right up on the stage!

I did a similar thing in an electrical storm at our beach house in Gippsland . We opened the glass doors, turned the lights off and put the chairs on the front deck. Had a few beers and danced with my young daughter - just magic. Beautiful balmy night

Imagine all the freaked out shoppers who thought it might've been a terrorist bomb blast at the time.

Lost power at about 10:30 last night. Idiot neighbours also left their dog outside and it was going nuts whenever there was thunder or lightning.
Anyone who thinks that dogs should always be outside regardless is not a person I would trust with regards to advice on owning dogs to say the least. Know a few friends with this mindset.
